Excellent stories covering interesting topics and themes for young people. Very well written, not dumbing down like lots of today's authors. Brilliant. Couldn't recommend more.

This is a great book series for kids who love trains and adventure.Our son is 6yo and we read a lot to him. The story is complex but he is managing to follow it easily. I think the recommended age geoup is a bit higher. But he loves trains and these books.The great thing is that it relates well to geographical places, the deacriptions are really great and we always show him on the map where it is and sometimes he asks to see pictures of places the books refer to.The adventures/crime solving is captivating and descriptive but I would say it is no too violent which is nice.The books also describe different technologies and such. Not in great details but inquisitive kids will likely take it as an impulse to ask more about the subjects.We now started buing them also as audiobooks as we listen to them when travelling for longer time.

Efficient delivery & well packaged. Bought for ten year old grandson who is enjoying the stories. The detective tales are linked with famous rail journeys which gives an added dimension.
