Good metal build to it and the glorified “paper clip” at bottoms works well to distribute power cord in reel. It takes my 100’ long 12-3 cord easily; and by plugging into outlet at base of cylinder, you can easily plug in 4 cords on the side with this as a hub - great feature for outdoors work where you need a few short cords and only a single long thick cord to move the amps where you want them.Priced more than the plastic cord reels, but solid metal build quality and hub support makes this a good choice.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I recently purchased the 100 ft extension cord reel for a toddler birthday party to connect to an inflatable across the yard, and it worked flawlessly! Even in the intense Texas summer heat, it had no issues whatsoever. The reel spools and unspools super smoothly, making setup and cleanup a breeze. It handled everything we needed without a hitch. I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase and would definitely buy it again. Highly recommended!

I love this reel and added nice touch the cable guide in base. After last storm needed a better way to put away all the extension cords and this one comes with 4 outlets and circuit breaker. My older wheel didn't have the nice bonus cable guide in the base but this little feature makes rolling up cords allot better. Having cords on wheel instead just hanging allows me just to unroll only amount of cord I need vs dealing with 100 feet of mess. The item is rated at 15amp so if you need something 20amps rated this will probably not work.Now the only bad thing I found was it needed little teflon greased spray where the metal meets plastic on the reel because it was hard to rotate wheel... after little movement and help from teflon it is turning with ease.

a nice size & weight to keep the tangles out of your cables, the plug is a nice touch no floppy cords. Clean & attractive looking.

If you own a 100-ft 12-gauge indoor/outdoor extension cord, you likely know how cumbersome they are to manage (unwind and rewind by hand). They are heavy, stiff, and generally unwieldly. I was looking for a reel to help manage a couple that I own. Nearly everyone I found was rated for 14-gauge or less @ 100' or 12-gauge for 50' or less. The few that were for 12-gauge at 100' were very expensive and meant to be mounted on a platform or operated with a winch. This, and a couple of others, had reviewers say that a 100' 12-gauge cord would fit on it. As you can see from the picture, this is true. However, there are certainly some serious drawbacks. The plastic sides are flexible. By itself this is not a bad thing; however, a short, small handle mounts directly onto that flexible side, which makes using it to real in the heavy, stiff cord a real problem. Another problem is the diameter of the wheel is so small that it too adds to the difficult in reeling in the cord. I think a wider diameter, say 18" would make that job easier. Finally a note for those of us that are left-handed. The handle only mounts to make reeling the cord in easy for right-handed people. Why there is not a mounting point for lefties is just another example of short-sighted ergonomics that miss the needs of left-handed people.I would guess that if I were using it for a smaller gauge, indoor cord, and I was right-handed, it would get a 4-star review from me. For my needs, it is serviceable, but not convenient.

I purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend as he loves to have everything near and organized. This is a great addition to his workshop. So far it seems to be very durable and the material is good quality. This products makes using an extension cord easy and stress fit. It was also a great value for my money. Highly recommend!

I ordered this product for the simple use of the multi outlets and to easily wrap up my extension cord which I was getting tired of constantly untangling. Since buying this it has made plugging in the extension cord and unwinding tangle free might I add simple and then when I'm done and need to wind it back up for clean up after I'm done so simple and time saving. I'm actually wondering why I never bought one of these before with all the yardwork and working on vehicles I do. And knowing there is a built in safety to prevent sorting built into the reel nice as well.It states it's for 80ft cords but it can handle a 100ft cord no problem. Just throwing that out there
