Easy install, works great, filter element super easy to change
I installed the WS-US-001 Advanced filter under kitchen sink in my motorhome with output connected to a dedicated countertop water dispenser spout. It works great and the flow rate is terrific. Installation was simple using a "Fitvell Stainless 1/2 " G 3 Way T Connector Adapter" procured on Amazon to tap into the flex cold water line to the existing faucet using a standard 1/2 inch faucet connector braided hose procured from my local hardware store. I like the quick-change process to replace the filter element that will minimize water spillage as compared to installing a standard bulky 10 inch canister filter setup. The exterior housing is translucent with a window area to visually see condition of filter and be aware when time to change. The under-counter filter frees up counter space since I no longer need to carry a countertop gravity water filter.

Very low quality
The thread on the 3/8"-1/2" converter does not match with the thread on the hose.

Everything we needed for an apartment where we can't change the sink fixture
Overall, the under sink filter has significantly improved our lives. The installation process was relatively easy, and the box included common pipe fitting adapters. While we have not yet quantifiably tested the water quality, we have noticed that the filtered water does not leave calcium deposits, which is particularly helpful as the tap water in Southern California is notoriously hard. However, some of the pipe fittings were challenging to tighten without a small wrench, although this was more due to our own stubbornness than any issue with the product. Despite this, we were able to ensure that there were no leaks in the lines or connections.Compared to our previous countertop gravity filter, which took up a lot of valuable countertop space and was time-consuming to operate, the under sink unit fits neatly behind everything and is not a hindrance. One of the key factors in our decision to purchase this filter was its NSF/ANSI 53 & 42 certification. This means that it filters out chlorine, taste and odor, chloramine, particulate, iron, manganese, zinc, total dissolved solids, lead, Cryptosporidium, VOCs, and chromium. We opted not to go for a reverse osmosis filter as it indiscriminately strips water of essential electrolytes. This unit filters everything we need it to and has relatively inexpensive filter costs.

Great Water Pressure and Chlorine Filtration
The media could not be loaded. Before purchase, I checked into how this unit is tested and built. Every answer from the manufacturer indicates the filter manufacturing is done after completion of necessary engineering process. That includes the necessary certification and water hammer test. Some folks commented on my inquiry of the unit hammer test as unimportant. They forget most liquids are incompressible and the constant open/close of water faucet can over time cause leakage and even burst inside this filter. The most unpleasant thing after installation is to see a flooding in my kitchen. The filter arrived with two connectors which allow half-inch or 3/8" connection. My picture shows how the 3/8" connection should be made for my kitchen faucet. For 1/2", exchange the two connector positions in the picture. The overall installation took less than 10 minutes including flushing the filter for 3+ minutes before taste test. It is simple and straight-forward as expected. You can see in my short video that there is no INITIAL cold water pressure drop after installation. Comparing the taste before and after installation, this filter surely takes away the chlorine taste. About how well this filter can perform in other areas, most test kits cannot do a good job and I also have no reason to suspect heavy metal poisoning in the Chicago Cook County suburb area. So I will not spend time and effort in this area.I also tested how to replace the inside cartridge as the manufacturer said. It is a simple twist to unlock the housing from the top cap, then use the enclosed wrench to release the cartridge before placing a new one inside the housing. However I turned off the water supply when doing my test. Their claim is that this is not necessary but I do not want to take that risk. And I won't be surprised a strap wrench is necessary for cartridge replacement after some period of use.The main reason I cannot give an initial 5-star rating is due to the 8K gallon filter life misinformation found on the Amazon web description. As you can see on the filter label, it clearly states maximum filter life is 2K gallon. 8K is very different from 2K. My area has water from the nearby Lake Michigan water treatment center so they are very good city water. My expectation is that this filter should last at least six months before replacement. I will update this review later on the durability aspect of this filter. My initial impression is that I would recommend this filter based on its price and quality.
