Goldilocks and ese pod compatible
I've been a bit like Goldilocks and her porridge trying to find a reasonably priced machine that takes ese pods. This one is a keeper because:ESE pods fit nicely in the single filter - I use Borbone Gold as they are strong, rich and a good price - no messy grounds to deal with so Happy Days. The frother arm is adjustable/maneuverable so I can use a reasonably sized metal jug. The inner "wand" is rubber and because of the larger than average, metal outer tube it produces a decent head of froth. The coffee (cappuchino in my case) is always piping hot because of the steamed milk. The knack to release the filter from the basket is to firstly insert the filter lining up the 2 dimples on the filter with the rebates on the basket. To remove it slip the lip of the 2nd basket (same way up) under the filter by the rebate that has the little "spring" in it. A quick twist and out it will pop.Reasonably priced, easy to clean, doesn't take up too much counter space and it even has storage space for the 2nd filter that isn't in use.One satisfied customer : )

Fantastic Espresso Machine
I’ve had this a while now & have played around with it & am now getting coffee I really, really like. There are several variables that you have to consider to make coffee the way you personally like it.I get a strong ground coffee & I do a shorter espresso (ristretto) and then steam some FF milk to go in: ratio1 coffee to 2milk. Delicious - a nice strong flat white. It took me a while to work out how long to do each bit for but have arrived at approximately 6 seconds for the coffee & the same for the milk.Brilliant machine, easy to use & very flexible. I much prefer the coffee to pod coffee & think £100 is a really good deal. Recommended.

Great starter machine – with a little upgrade, it’s a proper café at home
Stylish, compact, and makes a solid espresso straight out of the box – this little De'Longhi is a cracking entry into the world of manual coffee machines. The 15-bar pressure gives a decent crema, and the milk frother does a lovely job for cappuccinos or lattes.BUT – if you really want to fall in love with it, do yourself a favour and get a bottomless portafilter and a 4-cup basket. The one it comes with is fine for casual use, but the upgrade lets you brew stronger, smoother shots with much better flow and less fuss. It really brings the machine to life.☕️ Pros:– Lovely retro green colour – looks great on the counter– Compact but powerful enough– ESE pod compatible for lazy days– Frother actually works (unlike many budget machines)– Auto shut-off is a nice touch⚠️ A note for coffee geeks:You’ll outgrow the included portafilter quickly if you’re aiming for barista-style coffee. But for the price? It’s still an excellent bit of kit.Would I buy it again? Yes. But I'd get the bottomless portafilter at the same time next time.

Excellent
I’ve had coffee machines in the past, some top end and cheap ones. This machine makes a good cup of coffee, obviously depends on the coffee itself. Heats up quick. Easy to cleanThe frother is excellent, quick to heat up and the froth is amazing. For the price (under £100) I’d recommend this coffee machine five stars

Who needs a coffee shop ??
My first coffee machine............first tip, blame yourself for poor coffee - not the machine ! Using a coffee machine is a mixture of art and science - it will take you a couple of weeks until you start producing half satisfactory cups of coffee - a couple of months to be an expert. Buy a decent tamper, mat, coffee funnel and milk steaming jug, if you have hard water buy a Brita style filter jug (keeps your kettle sparkling clean too). Make your own cleaning fluid with food grade citric acid crystals. (Available on a well known website !!)Machine is a bit noisy in use, drip tray is a bit fiddly, other than that, construction/use is pretty good. Try lots of different beans to suit your own coffee strength/flavour - I settled on a supermarket own label Espresso beans................10p a cup !!!An absolute bargain at the price........................

Nice and cost little
Actually in good condition no manual so will do a bit of searching on line. But it's a good brand for under a grand. 🤣

Perfect if you hate yourself.
I bought this to replace a similar DeLonghi, which was somewhat decent but died after only 2 years. This is meant to be an exact replacement (in their product line-up), but it is unbelievably worse. First, the coffee comes out terrible: watery and weak (I am using the same coffee I used with the previous one. I have also tried several other coffee grounds). Second, it leaks from everywhere. Third, and possibly the most infuriating one, it is the hardest thing to clean that I have ever encountered: whoever designed this thing must be a sadic demon, feeding on human frustration. The tray that should collect any drops (and, with the above-mentioned leakage, there is a lot to collect), is composed of three parts: a metallic base where you rest your cup, the actual tray, and an intermediate piece of plastic whose sole purpose appears to be that of collecting dirt and let it rot, until you try to clean it, at which point the piece's purpose switch to making you re-evaluate how miserable your life is. Once the tray is removed it is always a joy to notice how the machine manages to be dirty even under the tray, in another very difficult-to-clean fashion. In sum: Weak coffee, leakages, very hard to clean. Buy it only if you like to start your day filled with hate.

Good purchase
Very good coffee machine, I like the way you can decide how much water you want to put in, making an espresso or a lungo, easy to clean
