Very Misleading Description....Not Galvanized....Not for outdoor use.
Mis-Leading information on this product. Initial description "Hot Dipped" leads you to think galvanized for outdoor use......WRONGthese will rust....hot dipped in who knows what.As soon as I opened the box, realized these are not for outdoor use.

not "RING" shank, not "hot-dipped galvanized"
We use this style in construciton. However, don't be mislead by the terminology. Description states 'hot-dipped galvanized" in title. But the narrative states : "Need to pay attention: the process of nail iron sticking paint can play a role in anti rust and anti corrosion, the product will fade after a long time, rust is normal, because the product contains iron elements, it is recommended to place it in a non humid area" The process for hot-dip galvanizing includes cleaning the steel body, dipping the nail into molten zinc, and spinning it to remove excess coating. Also, these are not really "ring shank". Ring Shank actually has rings. These are more of a "spiral shank" and the spirial is not as thick as other brands. Easier to pull out compared to actual ring shank.

Not stainless or galvanized
Let me qualify myself; so you can see how dumb I was. I'm the son of a builder, a former general contractor, my education is in building codes and construction management. I am an inspector. - I am building a Casita for my wife. I purchased these nails to install fiber cement panel siding. After installing 70% of the cladding I put all my tools away and didn't get back to it for a couple of weeks. I had accidental (but fortunately) left a partial roll on a sawhorse, in the weather. I picked it up and it was corroded, rust stains came off in my hands. I was duped. I pulled the box out and looking at them; I should have known. I trusted them. Now I have a problem that I didn't need. Shame on them - shame on me. Do not purchase.
