Easy to install and work perfectly!

I got this set to replace some old seized/smashed Tektro brakes on a bike my wife picked up. I was skeptical due to the price point, but then again V-brakes have been around for 30 years now. I was pleasantly surprised by these. Really easy to install and set up. Tension adjustments works great and was able to get a nice even pull without much effort. Brakes are nice and strong, got a squeal out of the one due to a dirty rim, but once clean it was silent and strong. Really nice set, especially at the price point. Not the highest quality or the lightest, but for a basic bike these are excellent.

I had a set of brakes on an entry level mongoose MB/hybrid that I couldn't get functioning. None of the adjustments recommended on the bike repair forums worked. The brakes would close but would not return open properly. I decided to order these instead of spending more time on it. I put these on and they worked flawlessly from the start. The arms themselves were built stronger than the existing brake arms. I gave this a 4 since they are not a high quality component, which you shouldn't expect at this price point. If you have a bike that costs less than $200 new, these should be equal or better than what is on it now. Great value for the money!

Per the title, I was gifted an older Giant Farrago hybrid bike. I did a full makeover including new handlebars and V-brake brake-shifters. New V-brake hardware greatly improved brake performance, and matched the cable-pull issue of new handlebar levers.

I was a bit concerned that at this good price that I might be ending up with garbage. Not the case at all! The brakes had all the necessary parts, was easy to install, and worked exactly as I needed. Very pleased.

Could not get the back brakes to adjust properly they didn’t have enough spring. Replaced them with a bottom line version of a big name brand and they worked. The fronts worked but if you can see from the photos they don’t all have the same tension arm and it isn’t a front or back thing because there is a left and right side and the two lefts are the same and the two rights are the same.Actually purchased 2 set but one of the sets had three matching arms and one odd fourth arm shaped differently and had a different brand posted on it. I returned that set.

The best part of this purchase is that they were the same as the broken brakes which made them easy to install without any problems

The brakes did the job as intended but the break pads are squeaky. Still it’s hard to beat the price for the hardware.
