Couldn’t live without it
This drink mix is definitely on the pricier side, but I have been using it consistently for over a year and there is pretty much nothing that even comes close to the results I get from this. It’s part of my night time ritual. I am and have always been a severe insomniac. I could take a horse tranquilizer and still not sleep without the stars perfectly aligning. This combined with my prescription sleeping medicine gives me really restful sleep and helps me wind down at the end of the day. I love the taste! It’s tastes like mixed berry tart. I heat mine up and drink from a mug as I’m settling in for the night with some Netflix. A huge added benefit of this drink is that it will also help keep your bowels regular. I know magnesium glycinate isn’t supposed to have a laxative effect…but this definitely keeps you regular the next day.

Extremely Effective!
I've been taking original calm off and on for several years to help my body manage stress more effectively. It worked well enough for its intended purpose but it didn't really help with my insomnia. I've struggled with insomnia for more than 10 years, six of which I took Ambien nightly. I've been working really hard to eliminate pharmaceuticals sleep aids from my nightly regimen. This product has been a life-saver. It is especially effective if you do some of the other things that support healthy sleep (e.g. turn off all electronics at least 30 min prior to bedtime, dark + cool space, go to bed around the same time each night...etc.). I drink this right before I go to bed and it really helps me to sleep better (deeper and longer). I'm on my 3rd bottle. I use one heaping teaspoon and in this case more isn't always better. Magnesium is a very effective laxative, so start slow and gradually increase until you find the right dosage for you. Everyone's body is different.Side note: The magnesium in Calm also helped to relax my jaw, no more grinding my teeth or using a night guard.

WORKS
I've got serious insomnia issues, and this is an important part of my arsenal. I don't know if there's just a temporary shortage or they're discontinuing it, but it is such good sleep support. When I use it, it helps me get sleepy, and supports a better, less interrupted sleep. It also just gives me an overall soothed feeling. It's not a benzo and ambien, but it's very helpful at supporting a benzo and ambien when not even a frying pan to the head could make you sleep. Definitely mix it with the warmest water that your tap will provide you (watch out, it expands like elephant toothpaste). And, hoo lawd, don't take too much of it or you'll have a close relationship with the toilet for the rest of the following day. The first time I tried it I thought it was too tart, but I had misread the instructions, and it's fine when you use enough warm water.

2tspns work for me
I’m a very stressed and anxious person. I had used it a few times with the one tspn which it recommends on the back to use and it didn’t work, I didnt feel a difference BUT last night I used 2 tspns and I slept ALL night. I actually had a good nights sleep. I usually use the Salud calm and sleep for a restful night but now I have this too I just need 2tspns of it.

WARNING FOR GASTRIC ISSUES
I started using this product a couple of months ago...thought it worked great. I take some vitamins but have been backing off to just a few. This drink works almost too good. I'd be watching tv and nodding off- kinda like if you drank too much alcohol. (note, I did not mix with any alcohol) This is my third (small 4oz bottle) and I usually mix it with just enough water to dilute it to drink it, so not 8 oz or anything like that, like the size of a small juice cup. Anyhow last week, I woke up in the middle of the night to extreme burning pain and then EXTREME cramping which would come in waves. I had about 12 liquid bowel movements along with this and then after that, NO movements, however the cramping lasted over 20 hours. I did not get out of bed or eat for 2 days, kid you not. The morning of day 2 I felt a little better, cramping has subsided considerable though I took a prescription gastric anti cramp/ spasm medication which didn't seem to work and 2 doses of pesto the day before. I went downstairs that morning, fed the dog, back on the toilet for 1 liquid movement and then my skin turned hot and prickly and I thought I was going to throw up. I had to sit on the floor and just breathe because I was burning up. I composed myself and went back up to bed, day 2, the entire day in bed with on and off cramping, but not as bad as the day before. Following this day, no more cramping, but very weak. I had not obviously take anything to sleep because believe it or not, I was able to sleep all day and night. The second night I had a couple of crackers and the diarrhea still remained, but not constant. Since then, a week and 1/2 ago, I (being on a diet for 2 1/2 months now) do not eat that much, but do eat dinner. I started back on the calm mix and noticed the EVERY NIGHT before bed, I have like 6 liquid movements, like straight water before I can finally get to sleep. I had no idea what it could be, I've been taking live culture probiotics (Bio-K) and usually that fixes any issue within days. I generally take melatonin only before I started on this drink and again, was fine with it for awhile, but upon reading up on the magnesium part, something about the way this is (the calm gummies were never an issue for me) has caused an almost toxicity to me. I was getting ready to see a gastro and get scoped and all, but upon reading up on taking too much magnesium (not anywhere the amounts they mention, THESE ARE THE SYMPTOMS of magnesium overdose). I would take two heaping teaspoons just by look, mix with water and drink. Just a WARNING for some, if you start to have diarrhea, or cramping or any gastric upset that is at nighttime or morning, consider taking the out of your system. I will do an update after I have been off this for a week. Unfortunately I took it last night so.....Good Luck. I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR CHILDREN or anyone with stomach issue. I also found out magnesium is used as a laxative SMH! Hope this helps someone. I love the brand, but again, just a fair warning and I hope the company puts a warning on the label at some point. What normal levels are for some may not be for others
