This apple peeler is amazing! It took me 10 minutes to peel 5 pounds of apples.You have to have a solid flat surface for the suction cup on the bottom to stick. I use my glass top table. My tiled kitchen counter top did not work.I highly recommend!!

I love this apple slicer! My 7 kids use it every day! I am not able to eat apple peels as it is to hard for my body to digest. My reason for getting this apple slicer. The cool thing about it is, it not only takes the peels off, but it cuts the apple into slices and separates it from the core! If you're making apple pie or apple sauce you dont have to spend so much time to cut it into pieces. The one draw back of this product is the suction. We have had to re-suction it multiple times for it to stay to the counter. My mom had an old fashioned one that would screw under the counter to hold it there. That was always reliable, but I love this kind because if you dont have a counter that goes out far enough to attach it then you can still use it.

Used it on a large gala apple and it was awesome,same with another type of large apple but then the 3rd apple was a large red delicious apple,here is where it messed up.The peeler would just rub on the apple and not peel,I reversed the crank and tried 2 more times and finally got it to peel but I had to push on the peeler arm and that caused the spikes to just spin in the apple when it got to the coring section,I felt the peeling blade and it felt dull….(dull from 2 apples!!!)..I threw away the apple and tried my smaller gala apples,it did the same thing,so I had to push on the peeler arm lightly to get it started..the unit comes with a extra peeler blade and slicer blade,but come on,I should not have to change them every few apples.Also,on the smaller apples,if you push on the peeler arm it causes the apple to slice wrong on the slicing arm and break the apple slices,also,don’t press too hard or you will peel away too much of the apple and waste it. Think ima return it and try another type of device
