Very happy so far! Seems like a great value for the price!
So far very happy with this light, especially considering the price. The in-line controller is easy to program and the instruction manual is fairly straight forward. Build quality, fit and finish seem nice with the low profile look. In daylight mode, the light will increase automatically in 1% increments over a period of time in the morning. Daylight and moonlight times can be overlapped. I have not noticed any flickering and the fish do not seem to be bothered by the light. The brightness seems more than adequate for the 6 gallon pico tank I placed it on and it brings out the colors in the fish and live plants nicely. So far would recommend.

Delivery delay after delay... but worth the wait.
I almost cancelled this order 5 times over with the continued delay in shipping. I had to buy another LED light for my tank. After about 3 weeks of waiting,g it finally arrived, and it outperforms the other light I bought for the same price.

Super Bright, Automatic ease in/out of light.
I bought a random tank with cool blue led lights, glowing gravel, and with neon plastic plants. Only thing is, the fish freaked out with blue light - not to mention the shock of the light being super bright when it turned on. When I removed the old tank leds, it read, "Danger: Do Not Look at Lights When On." It was pretty bright. So this is very simple to use, and eases into brightness settings, which is AWESOME. It's kinda clunky, but I got it after playing around for 10 minutes. Before I go into the how to, know that it is indeed waterproof, super bright, and brightness can be adjusted; I'm still playing with between 50-80%. The fade in/out happens during time periods you specify. There are 3 modes. Think of them like this. Sunrise to a few hours before sunset (51), Sun has already started to Set to night (52), and full custom (53). Fortunately I only needed 2 modes. Whilst you can set modes 51 and 52 to overlap, it's causes mode 52 to kinda not work right. For me, I needed to use two modes. Some people may just need one, depending on where the tank is located. I need mode 51, as turning on the lights in the house caused the fish to freak out in the morning. I needed mode 52 because the room where the tank is located has blackout curtains, which will block the natural light if left closed. For me, I have mode 51 go from 6am to 3pm. What happens is, the white lights go from 0 to 70% from 6 to 615. Then stay at 70% till about 245, then from 245 to 3pm white light goes off.Mode 52 starts at 4pm and goes to 9pm. Red/Orange lights brighten from 4 to 415, then start to dim at 845, with off by 9pm.Mode 51: Day Time. This is your basic "white" light settings. Think Sunrise to a few hours before sunset - the sun is still up.4 Options. 1) On/Off ( as in used or not used ). 2) On Time. 3) Off Time. 4) Brightness.Cool thing: I set the on time to 12:00 and off time to 12:03 with brightness set to 100%. From 12:00 to 12:02 it went from 0 to 100% brightness, and from 12:02 to 12:03 it went from 100% brightness back to Zero. It seems to take 10-15 minutes to go from Zero to the brightness level you selected; a gradual wake up. Naturally, if you set the on and off time to less than 10 minutes, it turns on at 00, peaks in the middle, and goes off by your end time. It will go from Your Selected Brightness level, down to 0/off in the last 10-15 minutes.Mode 52: This is for dusk colors. Same 4 options as mode 51. The difference is the brightness. Here you can set Red, Green, and Blue (RGB) colors, only up to 50% brightness. There are options for R + G, G + B, Just G, etc. From testing my fish do not like this blue either, even at 25%. My fish were okay with green/yellow, but ultimately I settled on just Red, as the fishies were cool with it.Actually setting it. You Tap the "M" button to cycle through 51, 52, 53, back to clock. When you're at 51-53, you can long press the "M" and that option will start to blink. Use the up/down arrows to change options, Tap "m" to move to the next option. Upon reaching the last part of the option, you're basically back at tapping "m" sequence.Overall I would give this 4.75 stars and not 5. The missing quarter star is for the 51, 52, 53. It could read, Day, Nite, & Cust. However, I only plan on setting this once, and plan on having this thing go for years between settings. It's not enough to remove a full star.

Excellent Light for My Freshwater Tank!
I’m really impressed with the hygger Auto On Off LED Aquarium Light! It’s an incredible upgrade for my 12-18" freshwater planted tank. The light is full spectrum with WRGB lamp beads that simulate natural daylight perfectly. The colors are vibrant, and it really makes my water plants look more alive and lush. It’s amazing how the light brings out the true colors of my plants, making them pop in a way that I never expected. The programmable features are awesome, especially the 24/7 lighting cycle. I love that I can set the light to automatically adjust throughout the day, simulating natural light patterns. The night mode is a nice touch too—setting the light to a softer color like red or blue for the evening is perfect for creating a calm atmosphere. The LCD monitor on the controller is super convenient; I can easily see the current time, brightness, and settings at a glance, and it makes programming a breeze. As for build quality, this light is solid! The IP68 waterproof rating gives me confidence that it’s safe from water splashes, and I don’t have to worry about humidity affecting it. The aluminum shell is also great for heat dissipation, and I’ve noticed no overheating even after long hours of use. This light comes with everything you need, including adjustable metal brackets for easy mounting and a handy user manual. It’s been running for weeks without any issues, and I love how energy-efficient it is.If you’re looking for a high-quality, customizable aquarium light that’s easy to install and maintain, this is definitely the one to get. Highly recommended!

Works good so far!
Had the light for a month now. I cant for the life of me figure out how to program it. Iwhen I try what the manual says nothing happens. But the preprogrammed times are good enough for me. I have 2 of them and they both work great so far.

Cheap--Get what you pay for--LCD control stays lit and is bright
Not terrible--but you get what you pay for. Individual colored lights, which makes for a kaleidoscope look on the water--not great but predictable at this price point (versus individually variable LEDs). Also the controller is annoying--the cord length makes it so the control has to be nearly on top of the tank. Problem with that is the design is poor because the LCD control display stays illuminated all the time and it is very bright

Amazing value
Amazing, been running flawlessly for over 2 years now, no issues. Cant compare with high end lights like chihiros regarding plant growth because I dont have any, but my plants are thriving.

Went dark after a month.
After a little over a month the light totally failed.Fortunately it was still within the return window so I returned it.Will look for a better quality fixture to replace it with.
