So I don’t even use them as bookends, I use them as decorations because they wouldn’t fit well on my book shelf because they’re actually pretty big.Overall, I’m extremely impressed with them. They’re very well made, heavy, and the aesthetic value is very good. They catch the light really well. They aren’t overly stylized Buddhist cartoon versions of Buddha, these feel like very respectable pieces.

These book ends are substantial and heavy. They look great in my husbands African themed office. I love the natural elephant coloring on these.

Realistic elephants posed to look as if they are holding back books on a bookshelf. That's a great artistic idea for bookends.As to quality, the manufacturer and shipper did not care--both elephants arrived separated from their wooden bases. Looking at the elephants and the bases, it appears ineffective glue was used to attach them. The claim of "SAFETY PACKAGE🐘Packed by strong polyfoam and 5-ply corrugated carton." is a joke considering the broken condition these two products were in upon delivery. The products would not fit back into the packaging for return, either. To add insult to injury, one elephant had a broken tusk. A final inspection and proper packing by the manufacturer and seller would have prevented this damage. We spent half an hour repairing these two items which are intended for a birthday gift tomorrow.Amazon and the vendor fought my credit card dispute tooth and nail, twice rejecting my offer of a compromise reduced price solution to make up for shipping me broken items which I had to repair.No problem; here's my review in one sentence:"Avoid this vendor and this product unless you want broken items like I received."

Great Quality

One item broke loose from the base with damage, I glued it back on to the base. I would recomend this to anyone.

They look great, however, one of the tusks was broken out of the box.
