I haven't had the need to use these yet, that's the whole point they are designed for emergencies. They arrived packed in a cardboard box and remind me of the draught excluders we used to have when I was a child. In fact i may use them for that until they are needed, double usage and an alternative to storage.Two fat, absorbent, fabric snakes to soak up oil or fuel spillages. With two classic cars these are great to add to the emergency kit, either for mopping up that unexpected (though inevitable) oil leak or when changing the oil. Simple design with no fuss. Each one is about 4ft long, so a decent size to stop a spill from travelling far.

Used the first one on a spill, picked up all the water and left the oil behind!Useless.

Just what a clumsy person like me needs for doing oil changes. I always manage to spill some, wherever I put the drip tray. This will keep my drive clean and the high capacity means they will last for many oil changes. Good to see something made in the UK for a change.

This is a very good quality product. I used this other day first time ever as my youngest one spill water in the kitchen and it worked very well. It absorbed all of the water.This package comes with 2 absorbents and they are in decent size, about 4 Feet.Recommended

The main advantage of using these is that they take up a lot less surface area than putting down absorbent sheets. You can just lay them right against where a leak is likely to happen, stopping it before it gets the chance to do serious damage. Also nobody is going to accidentally step on this, unlike a big square pad.These are rated for oil and fuels (presumably hydrocarbons), and will not absorb water-based spills. I tested with light oil and diesel and it worked great. An excellent way to make a bonfire-night firelighter.The product quality seems good, no frayed edges or poor finishing. Obviously this is a disposable item so you’re only going to use it once, so lifespan isn’t really a consideration.The price seems a little high but there’s not a huge amount of competition, and they are UK-made. Four stars.

Soaks up oil and general spills perfectly whereas before i'd use any old rags, t-shirts and the likes to mop up the mess! Soaks up a lot more than you expect too and is nice & easy to store away until you need it.

These are like super absorbant draught excluders. They soak up alots of fluid Nd you cN dry them out for reuse.These are okay for the price but not the best and feel a little cheap.Thsy do however work.
