JET 7" x 12" Deluxe Horizontal/Vertical Bandsaw, 3/4 HP, 115/230V 1Ph (Model HVBS-712D)

I love this bandsaw! I have cut roughly 500 steel bars on it and it is still going strong. I find the controls are easy to understand and work with. I took my time on alignment and it paid off. Calipers showed me less than .01' deviation corner to corner. Some customers noted a bit of a splashing problem with the coolant, I do not seem to have that issue, sure a drip or two goes over the side but that is completely normal. No puddles or major coolant loss from splashing.I am very satisfied with this purchase and recommend this tool highly.

This saw is a solid piece of equipment. I did not realize how much we would use it till we got it. The hydraulic feed control works great. It’s quality that you expect from JET.

The media could not be loaded. I'm trying to expand my business and was looking to start out with a reputable company that has a great name in this field. After the company made things right and shipped me all the parts that were broke in shipping, I am extremely happy with my purchase. I did build a stand with casters to make the working height and mobility in my small shop easier. Overall I would recommend this saw for the hobbyist or even small business.

While this is a well made tool, the blade guides have to be massaged with a file or grinder to get them to retractenough to allow cutting a piece that is 12 inches wide ( it was 3/8 inch short ). For $X thousand dollars I shouldn't have to modify it.

this is a great bandsaw.

This machine goes through steel like a mower through grass. I had some 3/8, 6 x 6 steel columns that needed cuts to make for legs for an anvil and it did each cut in less than 3 minutes. The machine comes with 4 useless wheels and is somewhat tipsy, but if you are buying this then you probably have a welder and can create a cradle with casters. Be sure to buy two gallons of oil coolant for the oiler. Wish I had bought this years ago.

I'm am very disappointed with this saw, I wanted a lube system to help with blade life. The collection tray isn't big enough to catch the lube and it spills onto the ground in front of the saw making a mess on the floor. Also for making angle cuts the blade doesn't move it's the vise that changes angle not the entire saw like my old ellis did. I will except the blame for this for not understanding what i was getting in the first place.
