Q: how durable is this bag... I need to drag it a long way through the woods...

depends on what kind of body your dragging & how heavey,if your talking a Boar or deer to 200 pounds it should be fine.

Q: Can a cadaver dog pick up a scent through this bag?

I have no idea. We use the bag to transport full size uniformed mannequins from the National Museum of the Marine Corps to community outreach events and back. They've never had a human body inside. However, since they are not heavy rubber and have a fairly weak zipper system, my guess is that a cadaver dog would have no problem. I assume you're asking for a friend?
