Picked this up before a couple of races that I wanted to film while running. I had done my best without a gimbal on previous races, but the overall affect wasn't great. With the Feiyu, the stability was amazing, and combining that with 60 FPS on my humble Sony, the result was great. The gimbal holds the camera securely and without the case, so the sound (which I consider quite weak on the Sony I have) was great - no sound from the motors or the holder.

Built-in camera stabilization is improving in the latest action cams, doing quite well in some instances, but when the going gets really bumpy like when running, what is needed is the versatility of a three-axis Gimbal to record an entirely stable picture while on the move. Some activities require an extra boost in stabilization without necessarily having a fixed mount, and so finding the Feiyu-Tech G4 GS designed specifically for the various Sony Action Cams, with an added fixture for a phone monitor, the videos are showing a more consistent POV with an amazingly smoother transition when walking or running. As a result, objects in the video are easier to watch.After charging the batteries I placed my Sony HDR-AS100V into the bracket and pushed the power switch on the Gimbal. Within just a few seconds it popped the camera into position, and it was an easy matter of getting familiar with switching to the different modes. My new Gimbal is working perfectly. I learned also when bringing it back to standby mode with a long press, leaning the Gimbal over somewhat will avoid hitting the lens on the Heading Axis as the camera drops down.

There is no 4 way button to change the angle of the camera. Only one push button for different mode.There are several design issues on this product, think twice when you purchase:1. When power is disengaged, the camera will dip and the lens will have direct contact with the metal, I scratched my lens in this way.2. The water proof case is not usable when use this gimbal. I will try this out when snowboarding and see if it holds.3. There is no bag or anything that is come with the package, it feels fragile in hand so I have to carry the whole box when out in use.4. The battery contact in on the positive side is not made of good quality, after use it for some long time, around 40min walking, black staff is gathering in the positive point which will increase resistance and reduce the battery life.5. The charger looks like a unfinished product. There is no transprant plastic cylinder on top of the LED indicator which result the dust come into the product directly, Looks like they just want to save some mold money for this.There are several good things as well:1. The gimbal is balanced and well tuned.2. Stable function works as expected.3. Battery life is good.I hope feiyu can add the time-laps in the later firmware update.

Wow, this gimbal is amazing. I am making quality family video with this gimbal. No shake video looks 100 times better and this is a must have for those with action sport camera. I use this my Sony action camera.I wish the Sony mount can be better so I can just push a button to lock it in place and another push button to take it out. Right now, I need to unscrew the bracket on both end to push the camera in. It doesn't take long to do so but it is long when you are missing some good shot because the camera is not ready.

Terribly unreliable product. Out of the box, when gimbal is turned on, the motor whines as if struggling when the angle the pitch is greater than about about 45 degrees from horizontal in either direction. After that, the camera is then pointed the wrong way. If the roll is greater than 30 degrees, the gimbal stops working and then abruptly changes angle with camera pointing the wrong way.I tried the initialization routine and it worked once out of 5 times. The 4 times it didn't work, still had the above problem. I tried updating the firmware and was successful ... at least what the dialogue said. But then the gimbal no longer worked at all. After turning on, it just hangs their limply ... I can see the motor twitching once in a while but that was about it. I tried updating firmware twice and still the same thing.Even if I did make a mistake here and there, this gimbal is so flaky it OR it has terrible quality control.
