As many reviews will point out; the consistency is not great and takes some getting used to. I am not a huge workout nut, but I am dieting and I heard it is beneficial to use protein during your diet so that your weight loss is all fat and no muscle. Also, my protein intake was a bit low and needed supplement. Only once before had I taken protein, and it was like a milkshake mix which easily mixed into water. I found that this didn't easily mix into water at the dosage recommended on the bag. When I first tried it, I mixed it with 2 cups of almond milk and almost threw up and thought this would be a waste of money. The consistency is similar to pancake mix when used in high amounts or not mixed properly. Some reviews have said they just can't avoid the taste, but I haven't had that problem after I start mixing this into smoothies. I mix 15 grams of this in with half a banana, 1/4th cup of Greek Yogurt, 1/2 cup of blueberries, 2-4 strawberries, and 1 cup of almond milk. I barely taste it at all, and the smoothie is a great deal of fiber and protein, and a decent amount of my daily fruit. I drink two of these smoothies everyday, and I have ordered this bag three times so far.

Virtually tasteless and can blend in with pretty much anything, doesn’t add much thickness but adds some. I didn’t experience any mixing issues, it dissolved easily.

The flavor is like bread flour but then it's sold as unflavored. Somewhat surprisingly, it is very powdery & sticky but mixes well. I like to mix it half & half with a flavored whey protein. The flour flavor still shows through but it improves somewhat. It is a very good price value but again, be aware of the taste. I would also highly recommend mixing in the smoothy. Assuming the nutritional values on the package are accurate, it's outstanding in that category.

The price is pretty good for this product, but in the end it was a waste of money because I really don't want to try and use the whole product and get my money worth.I was previously using some cheap whey protein isolate, mixing it with 16oz of black coffee and a splash of almond milk. It would mix in easily, only slightly alter the flavor, and only make the drink a bit thicker.This soy protein isolate doesn't mix well at all. Putting a scoop into my travel mug, then pouring hot coffee on top, I stir and stir and stir, but even after several minutes, when I think it is all mixed in and stop, eventually clumps float to the surface.The experience of drinking it is rough. Though unflavored, it's flavor is so strong that it can make strong black coffee no longer taste anything like coffee. It also "mixes" to a thick, sludgy consistency, getting worse towards the bottom of the drink.Then, there is always some left in the bottom of the mug, stuck into the "corners", that won't even wash out. This stuff seems to almost repel water. It is hard to even get it to scrub out.It's messy stuff, even scooping it out it gets all over, and if it touches anything damp it sticks and doesn't want to wash off, just getting kind of slimy when you run it under water.I've always felt like supplements I've gotten from this company are pretty good, but this one was a big miss.

Great addition for my fasting (vegetarian) days. Almost no smell or taste, smooth texture (I add it to oatmeal or cottage cheese to add protein to my breakfast).

I buy this in bulk to add to my morning drink (usually hot chai or cappuchino) and the last batch mixed well, any lumps left were kinda solid, pasty, and were gone quickly. I got used to the slightly thicker, slightly gritty feel, pretty easily. I felt good that I was adding protein and amino acids to my diet in a way that didn't interfere with me getting stuff done before work.This new batch that arrived last week is less compact, so the bag feels the same weight but is really full, and it does NOT want to mix. It floats on top, and feels... like oily air? as you drink it. There doesn't seem to be an end to them, either. The entire cup is now kind of a thick lumpy foam. It's a lot harder to drink. It's just kinda... ew.This has been a staple of my morning for a couple years now, adding basically two eggs worth of protein in a quick, easy format. It's amazing how much this change is affecting my whole day. You wrecked the easy healthy thing I was doing, and I have a year's worth of it now. I may have to return it and find something else, but this was the thing I was so happy with after trying over a dozen different kinds of powder, and it is (was) perfect for a menopausal woman who needs to be digging and building and hauling before and after work.Very disappointing.

Apparently the issues in prior years with the sodium and expiration dates have been resolved. I think you do get more bang for your buck with this product. I take it with a cup of Kefir and the 1/4 cup mixes fine with it and yes, a bit grainy but not a big deal to me. I take my morning supplements with this and mix it in my YETI Rambler 18 oz Bottle, Leakproof, Vacuum Insulated, Stainless Steel with Chug Cap shaking for a minute or so. NO CLUMPS!!! I'm a 69 year old female and need the extra protein with not a lot of calories so with my Kefir it's 220 calories every morning, PERFECT!

Mixes well in cold milk for my smoothie. it did not mix at all in my hot coffee. It adds no favor which is what I want from unfavored. It does make the smoothie a little thick but no problem drink through a straw. This company's products come highly recommended by many spoke with.
