I’d like to share three serious concerns about this juice
I’d like to share three serious concerns about this juice. This juice is NOT 'preservative free". It contains citric acid, a very popular food preservative, inhibiting bacteria growth by lowering the pH. (Any google search confirms this fact). Funny though, they call it on the label "pH stabilizer' ?? (usually one needs a stabilizer to keep pH around neutral, like the buffering compounds, rather than lowering it). My personal concern is that I was planning on taking this juice (like many others) as a potential relieve of my chronic acid reflux, but the pH of this juice (measured with a professional pH meter) was surprisingly low, around 3.5 !! Consistent with this, I really used to feel an unpleasant acidity and heartburn immediately after drinking it.When they do a pH study, the G.I. doctors consider a pH drop below 4 in the esophagus as an episode of acid reflux, so this juice is like bringing the non-physiological conditions of acid reflux. It's a paradox, since many physicians administer dosages of Aloe Vera juice to eradicate the acidic content of the body. Well, but certainly not with such an acidic version of the juice. Yet, the Lily of the Desert product is advertised as "Balance stomach acidity naturally"?! It is unclear why its pH is too low, since they claim the citric acid is less than 0.3%, but whatever the reason, this pH in unacceptable.Other concerns:* Potassium sorbate (E202) is another well known preservative. Calling it a "mold inhibitor" in the label seems to be intentionally misleading, just another way to avoid the term "preservative". Is this how they justify the "preservatives-free" statement?*Also, Carrageenan used in this juice has been shown to be carcinogenic in rats, a potential human carcinogen. You better do your research and conclusions, before you start swallowing this thing.

Ok juice
I take aloe for all the internal benefits. This is not my normal brand, so the taste wasn’t the same. Still finished the bottle!
