I’m glad I bought it! If I could I’d buy another
The media could not be loaded. Ok I’m old and cranky so this will be blunt. This thing is a dream come true to me. I can grab 1 bag and go. That being said once you get past a few settling in adjustments this thing is AMAZING. I’ve already gotten a reputation with it on our local transit system… they call me “The krazy kid kalmer” because I’ll play and kids are just fascinated. I can’t wait for Christmas this year so I can play this bad boy. Now the issues on both necks the pressure against the pickup was insufficient however easily corrected by pressing down on the saddle firmly. Also there was a small tear in the top of the case however the company is sending me a new gigbag so I’m happy.

Play a Bass line, Loop it and then Play Ukulele over it.
I like playing the Uke neck as you have this large body to hold on to. Comfortable to play and the larger body gives a mellow sound. The bass neck is good. I made it fretless and that makes it way more fun. I have two and set up both by making the bass necks fretless, lowering the action on the ukulele neck and filing the Uke frets. The Uke will make a pop noise if you switch from Uke to bass but I use a pedal to mute when switching pickups. This is a good value, several hundred dollars cheaper than the other company that makes double necks. One Uke needed the bass pickup modified, but many bass ukuleles do, even the expensive ones. The other unit was about perfect from the factory. If you play Ukulele, buy one!

Amazing Double Neck For The Price!
The media could not be loaded. Ever since I got the Double Neck Bass Ukulele, I've been having so much fun. The Ukulele alone sounds incredible, both plugged in and unplugged! I was very surprised at how well it sounded! The Bass side also sounds amazing! The tone is super deep, and honestly, if you recorded it with a mic, you can make it pass for an Upright. There are so many ideas you can get out of this, such as two-hand tapping (one hand on the bass, the other on the ukulele) and looping. The way I have used both necks at once is kind of like a "Harp Ukulele" by tuning the bass side to notes of a chord progression, hitting the bass notes, then strumming on the ukulele. The electronics on it work great, especially the onboard turner. It works fantastic. The best part, it comes with the batteries you need in the gig bag! Speaking of, the gig bag is really well made! Any instrument that comes with a case is a huge selling point for me and seeing how well this one is made, it's perfect. I highly recommend this.

Rubber Strings? FUN
3 star z , why ?Sticky strings ?Armor All makes em smooth forever.Treat them with armor all you can do the whole ukelele in it and it won't hurt a thing but if you worry about overspray put a piece of cloth between the body and strings.3 stars is for using a lithium watch battery system instead of 9v or aaa

Great for the price
I'm coming from an upright bass background, and I wanted something a bit easier to carry around and jam with. I've been eyeballing UBasses for a while now and finally bought this one. I really like it for what it is. At the price point it is very much worth the money.Initial impressions (1-day of messing around with it):Out of the box, it is solid, tunes up alright and sounds good acoustically (it is quiet). I don't have an amp with me right now so I'll test that later when I jam with friends. The body feels solid and reasonably well constructed. The fret board seems a little cheap to me, but I'm not sure what about it exactly. There is some buzzing on the E and A strings when playing aggressively. When playing a little softer it goes away. I bought the fretless version to better imitate the upright sound, so it does not have any fret buzz. The strings do take some getting used to and so does the scale length.Complaints:-slight buzz (see above)-back panel was missing a screw. (one of six so it isn't a problem... more cosmetic annoyance than anything I guess)-the A and E strings (stock Aquila brand) have little bumps on them that seem to be extra material or maybe the core bulging out. Doesn't seem to affect the sound at all, but I think I might replace the strings sooner than later.Case is a nothing special soft sided case. I think it will work well. Came with picks (probably won't use them) and a wrench for the tension rod.As an intro instrument, I am extremely happy for the price.
