Perfect Fit and Easy Installation
This was a quick 5 minute swap on our 2011 Ford Explorer. All you need is something to prop the lift gate open (I used a long stick), and scribe or pick to slide back the locking clips on each rod. You can find plenty of videos on YT detailing the procedure in case you need a visual. Anyway, my liftgate opens and holds like new. No more getting bonked on the head (for now).Only time will tell if this product stands up to OEM.
