Walking the dog daily

The shoes themselves have been fine but both laces have worn very quickly where they pass through the top eyelet. This tells me that there are sharp edges on the holes where the laces pass through and it's cutting through the lace. From previous experience I would expect laces to last at least a couple of years but these appear to be on the point of breaking after only 5 months of normal everyday use.

Fantastic hiking boots. Survived very rough rock and shingle terrain. Make sure you double tie your laces as they do become lose. Vibram soles reliably grip. An unassuming pair of shoes that are equally well seen on alpine ridges and valley restaurants.

Light and comfortable
