Just the right amount of “extraness” I needed in my apartment! They looked like the photo! Nicely made, functional and value for the money.

I RARELY write reviews, but THESE coasters deserve a proper review. I'm 62 years old, and I've seen ALL sorts of coasters (cork, wood, bamboo, silicone, etc.) that might look good, but absolutely never absorbed the condensation to stop a ring of water from forming. Even if they "held" the condensed water from getting onto the furniture surface, when the glass or cup was picked up, there would be a drip from the bottom. THESE COASTERS CHANGED ALL OF THAT.These ceramic coasters are EXCEPTIONAL at absorbing condensation (see the pic), it's like the water droplets never even touched the coaster surface! In fact, I had to take a small spoonful of water and drip it on the surface to actually see that it was really NOT just disappearing!The moisture absorption was almost perfect. I even put a medium sized ice cube directly on one of the coasters and it totally disappeared within a few minutes without any liquid puddle... AND NO visible signs afterwards. The coaster just got very cold.I think these will last if you don't drop them on a tile floor or expect them to absorb sticky stuff.The ONLY thing is that 2 of the 6 had minor chips on the sides from not being protected by the 4 parts of the holder that evidently knocked against the edges of the coasters during shipping. With everything else that was near perfect, I simply didn't care and filled the chips with super glue and baking soda.My suggestion to get these to a 5+ rating is to find a way to put a small sleeve of plastic protection around the 4 uprights of the metal holder during shipping.In a nutshell...1) The ceramic top surface absorbs ALL of the moisture condensation from a cup or glassbefore it can go anywhere. 2) They have a good weight that feels like quality. And 3), they look like they could go with any expensive coffee table or surface.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
