Really is Lightweight and easy to setup/take down
After looking through listings for as many features as possible in a "backpacking, lightweight, waterproof, 1 person, 4 season" tent, that is more rectangle than square, I decided to try this MC Backpacking 1 person tent, as it is also a really good price and very highly rated. The 2 reviews I liked best were the one about using this in very stormy conditions and staying dry, and the other about not needing to stake it at the corners if your camp spot doesn't have that option. So I set it up in my living room just to see how easy it is for one person to handle and if it would be a firm setup without stakes.Gotta love the shock corded invention. I had it up in under 5 minutes. Had to unclip and reclip a little to get the crossover correct. And then added the rain topper. It fits nicely and has ample room on each strap to tighten it down at the corners, plus loops to stake it if you can.Has a rectangular screen bag that you hang inside from toggles attached to the ceiling. Plenty of room for an inflatable backpacking pad and down sleeping bag + room to put my backpack beside my feet. Also folds up beautifully with all the poles, stakes, rain topper, etc. and rolls right up to fit back in its stuff sack.So glad I purchased this.

Great Tent - kept this one, returned other brands
My son ordered three tents with the intent to keep the best one for a Scout backpacking trek. He kept this one & said it was a hands down, easy pick.Of the tents we tried, this tent was the lightest tent, felt the most durable (especially the fly and the bathtub bottom), was easiest setup, and had a surprising amount of space inside. It easily fit him, his sleeping bag and pad, and his backpacking pack fit width-wise at his feet as well. The tent has a mesh top covered by the fly, which will help on hot nights. Vestibule was small, but none of the tents we ordered had a bigger one. We're keeping this tent for his trek, returning the other 2.Tents reviewed:#1 - MC TOMOUNT 1-person#2 - Artic Lemmings 7.2x4x4' tent#3 - Clostnature Crux 1-person

This is NOT a true 4 season tent 3-4 early fall only.
Like others this tent pegged out correctly for wind held up without ripping or tearing. I do think that the poles should be a bit better Al (too thin). I have not rain tested it, what's rain? Room for 2 people and normal great. I would NOT consider this a LIGHT tent for backpacking 8.5 lbs will wear you down, but it does make for a good vehicle tent. There are no side pockets in the tent just a net for the inside top. The zippers from what I could determine are NOT YKK, but they did work fine. I would also use a ground sheet with it, the floor is a bit thin. Condensation could not be determined without a good rain event. I like it for the price. Easy put up. I changed out the pegs for better ones, just me.

Best tent out of all my friends and better price
Here is my review after using this tent for 4 days hunting trip in Molokai Hi, which is tropical weather . I am 5'7 and It is well fit for me, if you're over 6'ft it will be too short. Easy to set up and bring down, light weight fits well in my 100liter duffle. It is well ventilated, It didnt get condensed when the cold morning hit, I got cold in it during the early morning so good thing I had a sleeping bag. My other friends tents costed twice as more than mines. I recommend this tent. Very good experience.

Awesome tent in snow and rain and wind with a ton of indoor space for 1 person.
I car camped for 5 days and 4 nights in a private wilderness area with this tent up near Pikes Peak at about 9000 feet in the early springtime. The evenings were below freezing and there was moderate rain for brief periods, light snowfall and freezing rain on the tent fly one morning. This tent stayed super dry and was stable in about 20mph winds. I guyed out the top and tail but not the sides. The vestiblue provided ample space for my portable 3.5kw solar generator.SETUP was simple and quick.ROOM INSIDE I am 6' tall and use a 25 inch wide pad. This tent had a helluva lota space for me.I even put inside 2-3 gallon buckets of greens I was growing (at the foot side of the tent) so they would stay above freezing overnight. I grow my own food. The only thing that was kinda junky was the the little storage area up top which I don't really use anyway. For the money... THIS TENT RULES!

Very solid affordable tent
Quite easy to put it up. Along with that I have storm tested the one that I received and it survived. The tents inside is indeed seam taped. The tent is where your money is going not the stakes or the storage bags but its well worth it. However during a storm if you open the exterior doors water will come in from the very top of the door if it is fully opened as it does not come out far enough.

Amazing Little Tent
I got the 1P tent and I am SO IMPRESSED. I took this to the dry bush area of Oregon, and it stood up to wind, rain, and cold nightly Temps very well. There's tons of head space and the ventilation kept any condensation from forming on the inside of the fly, even though there was a significant temperature difference between inside the then and outside.Price and functionality can't be beat!

OK Product for it's price. Good for one season.
OK Product for it's price. Not so durable. The mesh zipper is very thin.A bit heavy for bike touring.I hope it lasts one season. (about 60 nights in different locations). No expectation more than that (One dollar per night... worth it).I have changed the weak pegs for more durable. Originally there are 13 pegs. But to pitch the tent you need only 6 or 7. So the weight is actually 100 grams lighter. Also I have added very light groundsheet to prevent holes.I have extended the tension cord to increase the gap between the inner tent wall and the rain fly for decreasing condensation.Let see the outcome next summer...
