Will not disappoint!!!!!!!!
The media could not be loaded. Let me just start by saying. This has beat any expectations that I had about a AC floor unit . I had a 15,000 window unit in my room that’s like 20‘ x 20‘Second floor, southern facing with an attic above my room. The reason I love this thing is because even if I forget to turn it on before I get home. it literally only takes five minutes to make the room comfortable. Which to me is amazing the 15,000 BTU window unit can’t even come close. I could literally make my broom low low 60s in the summer. I’m usually gone during the day. And the nice thing about this one. Is you don’t have to leave it running all day. All you have to do is turn it on. I love this thing. I love my room to be cold. If you do too, this is for you. If any reviews say anything else, then they should send their back cause mine is kicking.

It works, manually. Read before purchasing.
First off, the functionality to cool down the room and keep it cool is fine. With over 110*F outside temps, our bedroom get warm. Especially being on the second floor. Our bedroom is almost 350 sqft. It drops the temps from 85 to 70 within half an hour. It's great. The issue is when you want it to maintain temperature or automatically work. Which is the worst for this thing.Set to Auto or even Cool at 72*F. The room can hit over 85*F and it will not kick on. Why? Because the unit thinks the room is under 72*F.Once you manually drop the temperature below whatever mystery temperature it thinks it is in the room. It will kick on. Then you can actively watch the unit start to realize, hey it's hot.We have smart thermostats with remote sensors. They're very accurate with thermo/hygrometer readings. If the remote thermostat sensors read at 79*F. The Midea will still think the room is 10*F COLDER than the smart thermostat. There's other minor quirks that are annoying at most. But this is the biggest issue. To make matters worse, Midea's #1 asked question in the FAQ of the app is literally about the Thermostat not reading the correct temperature. They brush it off knowing it's an issue and pass it as normal. If the sensor could be ripped out and located away from the unit, even 6' away, that would probably fix it. But why the heck should any modification be necessary after spending over $700 on this unit. When there are better options out there.Never again.

If You're On the Fence, Buy It
I wish I had bought this unit seasons before I did. It is superior to a one hose unit in every way possible. 1. It doesn't create an air pressure vacuum in the room. I can shut the door with ease. I don't feel air being sucked in through every crack, crevice and window. 2. The hoses are housed in a covering that doesn't get hot. 3. The ease and speed with which it is able to cool the room is incredible. 4. Using the app to control it is suuuper easy and much better than looking around for a remote (though it does come with one). 5. The vent / swing is designed in a way that it puts out way more air than past units I've had. 6. The parts used to create the window covering around the two hoses is all superior to past units I've had. It's a strong metal instead of plastic and I feel that helps a lot with preventing air leakage. I love how it slowly ramps up from start to fully blasting instead of abruptly slamming on. There is a slight buzzing sound at times- but I've gotten used to it and to be honest if that's the only con for all of the pros I'm getting...I'm okay with that. I overheat VERY easily and I've never had my bedroom be this cool without having to seal it up like a biodome...and even then the units I had were working 24/7 to keep it cool whereas the Midea dual hose seems to be able to do it fairly quickly and then turn off. Also my electric bill is still low / reasonable. So yes, the hype about a dual hose is real. They are superior in every way and this unit in particular is obviously well designed and made with high quality materials. I spent a lot of time researching portable AC's and sat on the fence for too long over whether to go with a dual hose. I had probably been using the unit for less than ten minutes before I knew I had made the right decision to invest in this unit.
