QO-100 TCXO LNB

The application here is for the amateur radio satellite OSCAR –100 (Orbiting Satellite Carrying Amateur Radio) and roe receiving 3cm amateur radio & television repeaters.This LNB is known to have a super stable local oscillator.Additionally this one has been modified to allow a 25MHz external reference from the GPS locked oscillator to be applied, so it’s absolutely ideal for narrow-band satellite operations.For those without technical knowledge and do not understand the above comments, this LNB is not suitable for SkyQ or standard sky box which has a recording feature, it’s designed for the amateur radio and professional broadcast/radio community use.73 de G8YTZ

Worked well with 60 cm dish, excellent results, very stable

I bought this specifically for reception of QO-100 and so far am extremely impressed with the frequency accuracy and the stability (lack of drift). I replaced a "normal" PLL LNB and although the sensitivity is no better, the stability when the temperature fluctuates, seems much better. The additional 25MHz oscillator output could also be useful in correcting drift, though I haven't needed to try that yet. Not cheap but I reckon it's a worthwhile improvement.

It will never be as good as a LNB with a GPS locked source, but well ahead of any other non GPS locked LNB I have tested. Good enough to use with the narrow band transponder if you can put up with a minor amount of drift.

These lnb will have a small drift versus time and temperature due to the internal VCTCXO. If you do a web search then youncan find the details of how to build the programmer which can recalibrate the lnb Internal VCTCXO to within a few hundred Hz. The internal MCU Will store the new setting. .With the programmer you can also adjust the LO in approx 130hz steps and decide to store the new frequency to memory.
