Excelente producto y de calidad
De excelente calidad. Aunque por el tamaño y peso de la tabla sí les recomiendo que tenga para poder portarla, ya que levantantalrq con comida si es complicado. Pero el producto en sí y él vio estuvo perfecto

Very Disappointed
Very disappointed in the finishing of this board. I can see why people rate it poorly. I was skeptical when reading others' reviews as I figured they were anomalies but the board that I received today absolutely does not live up to the quality that one would expect from a John Boos board. This board is quite rough on both cutting surfaces and is very rough on all edges, with one edge even looking like it hasn't been sanded down at all. Parts of the cutting surfaces haven't been treated with the "mystery oil", or they're just so rough that the oil couldn't penetrate properly, as well there are little soft splinters sticking out. Truthfully I could go to The Home Depot, buy a beautiful piece of untreated maple, sand it down and finish it with a good quality Walnut oil and it would be better than this one. Of course I could always sand this one down and oil it but I should not have to on day 1! I rarely write poor reviews but this product definitely deserved one. It's a piece of unfinished wood with a nice name on it. Go to HomeSense or Winners and buy a block there, it will undoubtedly be finished better.

3 months in and already cracked, bent, and stained.
The media could not be loaded. Horrible board. Barely used and already showing signs of wear and tear.

Product cracks after 3 mo of use1
The board is excellent in thickness and was perfect in all dimensions as i expected. After 3 mo of use, I saw cracks showing up. This was very disappointing as it was a Christmas gift for my Son-In-Law who is a professional Shef.

Not the best board for you if you're looking for something low maintenance.
I've owned my board close to a year now, and I haven't experienced any splitting or cracking yet. It's a sturdy and beautiful American-made board that I primarily use for prepping large quantities of vegetables. The heavy weight of the board prevents it from moving around even when placed on a quartz counter top.I will say that a majority of the negative reviews on here should be taken with a grain of salt. Yes, there are a few pictures where it does seem that the board was poorly glued together, but a vast majority of pictures showing splitting are attributed to user error and poor maintenance. You shouldn't be dropping or tossing this board around like your typical bamboo board. A well-maintained Maple board also shouldn't be pale white and dry as Hades. You can't just throw this thing in a dishwasher and expect it to survive. You also shouldn't leave this thing soaking in soap and water. If you're the type that just wants a low maintenance board, don't bother with this block at all. You don't have to oil the board after every use, but at least oil it every month or so. You don't even have to buy any expensive magical oils or Boo's stuff to take care of it. Just use regular mineral oil and apply it liberally. Let the thing dry overnight. Amazon sells a whole gallon for like $18. Also, buy a cutting board rack. Natural hard woods should be stored upright or vertically. Storing them flat just introduces it to unnecessary prolonged stress which just simply means premature splitting, warping, or cracking.
