Surprised by how much I loved this
I don't see myself trying any of the recipes, but they are cool to see and I wouldn't want them gone. It's cool to see so many other ways to use sprouts and shoots!I'd done some searching online, but no info was quite as helpful as the info this book provided. It helped me realize why some of my shoots weren't quite working out. I appreciated so much of the descriptions and the frankness about the author's preferences while still giving clear guidance. There were two things I didn't like: the recommendations for where to find seeds and the surprising sprouts. As for the recommendations, I'm nitpicking. For some reason, only specialty stores carry certain peas and seeds, so the advice isn't applicable to me. And the "surprising sprouts" were all the sprouts I'd come across already. Obviously these two things don't affect my rating. Not huge deals to me that the author wouldn't know what my local stores carry and what seed sites I find. For me, the fact that I can potentially grow from things I already have surprised me. I thought they'd have more processing, but I may have been wasting my money. Only time will tell. I still might buy from seed sites instead of sprouting all my lentils, for example. If you're interested in this topic and haven't really gotten far in internet searches, give this a try!

Very informative
This is pretty interesting book. I haven't tried all the recipes yet, but I learned alot about different kinds of seeds you can sprout and ways to save money doing it. Any one who enjoys cooking and gardening should read this and then they will know what to do with all those extra seeds at the end of the seasons.

Confusing units of measure
I liked the techniques and photos in this book but there are some issues with the units of measure in recipes throughout the book. Many recipes list the fluid volume measurement for dry ingredients, such as nuts, coconut flakes, sprouts, parsley, cornstarch, etc. In the same recipe, other ingredients are listed by weight in oz/grams. I’m not sure if this was intentional or an error in translation but it is a really odd mistake in a cookbook.

Not a 'how to' book on sprouts
This book is mostly recipes. Most people don't need those, what I was looking for was a 'how to safely sprout' Pictures of the sprouting process are not included...lots of missing instructions.

Everything you could want to know
I’m no stranger to sprouting but even I was impressed with the amount of information in this little book. It has all the things I actually want to know about the individual varieties of seeds suitable for sprouting/shooting and works as such a handy reference book for when I forget which ones should be eaten cooked or which ones shouldn’t be soaked, etc. It even has some recipes and suggestions on ways to use each kind of veggie and interesting tidbits regarding the healthfulness of the various greens. And pictures! I couldn’t ask for more. Love it!
