I like these for mixing because they have a beautiful pigment. Wonderful.

My father is an artist and knows the Goldens; he always buys their paints. I like the paints for that reason but also because I am fussy about art supplies... color saturation and all that. I chose these over other brands (aside from sentimental reasons) because of the intelligent selection of colours for a small set. They did not include black - you can mix your own... that sort of thing. There are two whites, which is good since I use a lot of white; and I was glad of the two different reds as well as red varies so much.

I am using these to alter MTG cards. This is a great ultra thin paint with high opacity so you can get all the vibrant colors you need without layering and making the finished product lumpy. Definitely recommend for anybody painting in miniature or inking comic books. Great product!

These are good quality acrylic paints. Although they are described as being "fluid" , they still have a consistency to them which may require thinning depending on your project. Golden has a good reputation and also offers a lot of different mediums you can use to mix with the acrylics to create different effects. This is a good set to start with for beginners but I have read professionals also like this product. I would recommend this set to crafters and mixed media artists.

I'm a professional artist and illustrator and absolutely love these acrylics. Professional product! These paints are small so buyer should be aware before purchasing if you need a larger quantity of paint. For my purposes the size of the tubes are perfect.

These are expensive but worth every penny! The colors are vibrant and richly pigmented and I just love them! They have a smooth, creamy consistancy that is easy to work with and they mix so nicely with other mediums without looking faded. They take my art to a whole new level!

Colors are way too bright. The colors included in this box aren't the primary colors. I wouldn't recommend them if this is your first time buying them. They're thick and if you thin them with water they you'll have cracks when it dries so you have to buy a thinning medium. There are farless expensive acrylic paints that work better for me.

If you have any doubts about buying Golden's this is the set for you. It lets you mix most colors, with the thinnest layers I've ever been able to use. My only downside is that there's no true red or black in the set. The pigments are intense even in thin layers and it doesn't dry too quickly.
