Q: Is there a difference between CLI 251 XL and CLI 251?

Interesting. XL costs 1.81 per ml of ink while the regular cartridge costs 1.44 per ml of ink. Am I missing something? XL appears to cost 54% more for only 22% more ink

Q: What is the expiration date of the combo?

I've never seen an expiration date on Canon inks. I've kept them for up to two years or so without any problem. This is not like the problem I've had with HP inks that never last long.But I only use genuine Canon, not "equivalent" inks.

Q: works on pixma mg5520 printer

If you go to Canon.com/usa and type in the search box MG5520. It will bring up the printer and list of topics. Select supplies and you will find a list of the ink the printer uses. The CLI-251 and the PGI-250 are listed.
