Of course non of the aftermarket batteries report back battery levels to the camera. These are no different. But its not really an issue if you carry a bunch of batteries. It takes 5 seconds to swap it out and keep going. If you are concerned shooting a critical moment, just be proactive and swap to a fresh battery for that moment, then swap back to the one you were using. I used these and a pair of OEM batteries shooting about 3000-4000 photos on a R8 over the past weekend. These two got consistently more life than the OEM batteries, not much more but noticeable. The charger was great because it charges OEM and Aftermarket batteries in a pair. I would take 2 batteries shooting while the other 2 charged and never found myself without charge. I also like how it has USB-C and Micro-USB which consolidates extra equipment packed, most people carry those chargers for phones or power bricks. This model has battery level indicators when charging which is very useful. My only complaint is the batteries don't lay flat, if I was charging on the go in a bag I could see them popping out. I carried a couple rubber bands to hold them down in this case. I think I would prefer to deal with it than use the earlier model without battery level indication. This is my first experience with non OEM batteries and I'm pleasantly surprised, I probably wont buy an OEM battery again! No comment on longevity yet

While these may not hold a charge as long as my original Canon batteries do, they’re pretty close! I also like the color since it differentiates from the black Canon batteries I have and I’m able to write numbers on them for ease of reference.The fact they come with the charger is a great deal.No worries for purchasing. They work great!

Really like using these for my camera. One downside is that the camera doesn't show battery percentage. Other than that I recommend them.

The Canon Batteries last a good 3 to 4 hours of intermittent shooting. I use my Canon Batteries first. These are backups which last a good 3 hours as well. But not 4. These are great. No question a huge competitor to Wasabi. But Wasabi actually matches Canon. They are a tad more expensive. These are thrift prices over all the competition. I bought 2 sets(4) and I'm very pleased. I shot a 5 day excursion to Aruba with Video and photo on These 4 Batteries alone. No kidding. They last. Don't get hot. A tad warm when they are used frequently. But that's it. I prefer these over any competitor because of the heat efficiency. Durability. Shot output and in general, usability. Rather pocket These bad guys before I pocket hot Wasabi. I can deal with the short 1 hour. I don't mind it. It's the cost, heat dissipation, and carry that makes these worth it. For my uses.

Bought it for my R8 after seeing all the reviews. The battery works for 2 weeks but then start to refuse charging. I can plug it for 24 hr and it still shows charging running. Pop on the camera and it would show full battery then drained to zero after a few shots.Both the charger and the batteries are terrible. Do not buy
