Q: does it have pockets?

this kilt does not have pockets, you would need to order a tactical or utility kilt. but kilt is nice quality i had mine for 2 yrs.

Q: what type of fabric? wool? acrylic?

It is definitely not wool. It is machine washable & has a nice weight to it. Not too heavy, not too light. It doesn’t feel like a cheap acrylic though, possibly a blend of some kind.

Q: Are the pleats stitched all the way down, or just pressed in?

I don't know but maybe the vid will help. My only issue is only 2 belt loops.
