Delicious
Excellent, had halva as a kid and this was just as good as I remember. Unfortunately not very much for the price.

Yum!
I love this Halvah! I first tried it because they had it at TJMaxx but now I always get it for gift baskets and Christmas presents. I like it as much as Seed & Mill Halvah but it’s less expensive and easier to get since it’s on Amazon with prime shipping. This halvah is nice flakey and dry not oily, and not overly sweet. The pistachio flavor is good as well but the chocolate almond is my favorite. I often sprinkle this over ice cream and it’s so good!

It's fine, but not great
For starters, the layer of pistachios on the top is all you get. Good pistachio halva should have pistachios folded into it throughout. This does not, which is my main issue with it.Flavor-wise, it's okay, but it does have a slight bitter aftertaste, indicating that some of the sesame used was probably old or stored in a hot temperature for a while. That said, the presentation is pretty nice, and it's likely that if it is gifted to someone who is not quite familiar with Halva that they would like it and be glad to receive it.

Extraordinary flavor and tenderness,
Delicious and tender, not like machine made compressed block of hard packed confection. This candy actually does melt in your mouth, as tender, flavorful delicacy. Made with obvious skill and care, a taste to remember even as you finish.I have repurchased this several times. It brings back memories of my childhood, when my mother would drive all the way from Philadelphia to New York City to buy special spices and condiments for family gatherings. The home cooked food was always central to get togethers, and we would buy a tiny piece of locally handmade Halva .

Very good!
I purchased the Dark chocolate with roasted almonds and it was very fresh and very good. I wish they made a marbled flavor but it was delish. It is a bit pricey though

Non-refrigerated Halvas Are Such Bad Quality
If you have never had deli fresh halva which is refrigerated then maybe this product would be okay for you.I am a first generation American and grew up spoiled in being able to taste many different of refrigerated halvas and none of these ones that are stored on grocery shelves could compare in taste and certainly are not at all worth the price. While halva does not NEED to be refrigerated, if it then it is done "to try to delay the natural separation of oil" and boy does it have a major effect on taste and quality.Every once in a while I have a craving for Halva and I make the mistake of caving and buying one of these shelf halvas to try but I have yet to find one that I would consider anywhere near as good as the refrigerated kinds you can find at your local mom and pop deli import store. Halvas like these ones should not cost more than a few bucks ($3) never mind the obscene prices they charge for.
