Duralex Made In France Gigogne Glass Ice Cream Cup (Set of 6), 8.75 oz, Clear

Duralex has been periodically going through various bankruptcies the last ten years or so. The latest news of the latest bankruptcy reminded me to check out their stock. I guess it could be like the apocryphal furniture stores that spend thirty years "going out of business" till the owners retire, but Duralex is good product, if a wee bit pricey. Anyway, I'm glad I did: they're good-looking and tough (not literally unbreakable, but more so than most glassware, and when they do break (usually in the sink), they fragment rather than shatter into razor-sharp shards, so less stressful to clean up. I mean, it's <i> glass </i>. If you want literally unbreakable, get metal.

I like them. My wife doesn’t.They are sturdy and minimalistic in design. You can see the seem where the glass was fused together.My wife doesn’t like how short and standard they look.We have a toddler so any glass that is shatter resistant is a bonus.

Love the look on the table! Very attractive while still durable!

Aside from the visible line across the glass and that one of the bases came chipped, I am pleased.

Perfect size for pudding or fruit. I really like the clean style and thermal resistance.

I bought 2 boxes of 6 each. One box was fine but the other had a dessert dish that was shattered. The other 5 were ok.

So durable and dishwasher safe , no cloudy streaks from using dishwasher!!
