The turtle is perfect for a small-medium project. Good and fun for a small child all the way to a teenager. Comes with a variety of colors. The shell has a lot detail so it can vary on difficulty or creativity freedom.

We've done several of the painting crafts from this company. The objects are done well. The paint brush included is great for detail work. The included paints are not great. Sometimes they expect you to blend your own colors and they don't include a color wheel or blending guide in the package or on the box. We found that you should first 'prime' the objects by painting them with white acrylic and letting them dry before you use their paints. Then they worked MUCH better. A wider brush for large areas is also helpful. We continue to buy them because they are great for sending to family and doing over a video chat during these times!

These rocks were a big hit with my daughter. She usually isn’t a fan of crafts, but she really enjoyed this project. Painting was easy and not messy, which kept her entertained for a while. She loves giving them baths afterward. Just a heads-up, don’t call them pebbles! She got a little mad and said, “They’re not pebbles they’re smooth!”

Awesome little craft to do with my toddler, gave it as a gift to a family member I just wish there were more options than a turtle and a protective layer to put on after painting is finished.
