This is a high quality mechanism that presents beautifully both in the package and in the workpiece. I really want this to be a perfect product but there were two items that stood out.One, the hinge comes with four (4) #12 wood screws and four (4) similar machine screws with countersink heads. I appreciate the addition of both kinds of fastener but I was disappointed that the countersink head on the machine screws (I think these were the offenders but I don't recall.) is a little small for the countersink holes machined into the hinge. The wood screws fit perfectly and nestle just right while the machine screws sink a little below the interior face of the hinge. I was surprised by this because of the otherwise excellent quality of the product; it seemed like an oversight.Two, and this was a design challenge for me, when the hinge is all the way "closed", that is, the two faces visible in the product photo are against one another, the hinge does not stop at 0° but extends to maybe +5° or +10° beyond zero. I am using the hinges for a drop leaf table where the outside edges of the table are the support points and the hinge is in the center of the span. I recognize that this puts a tremendous amount of strain on the hinge but so far it is holding. To correct this I had to add steel shims between the table and leaf and that has proved fairly effective. I believe the gap between hinge leaves when in the closed position ended up being about 1/8" or a little shy.
