Q: Do they heat the top of the foot or just the bottom?

The grains (that absorb the heat) are across the sides and top, but not the bottom. However if you leave them for a few moments after nuking them (60 seconds!), heat will transfer to the bottom just by virtue of them being in direct contact. Your feet will think everything is equally warm. Cause feet are so bright that way.

Q: How long do they keep your feet warm?

About 15-20 minutes of really warm heat and then they keep your feet warm after that because they are fuzzy.

Q: I want to buy these for a female friend who wears a size 11. Is the free sizing 5-10 referring to men's or women's feet?

I wear a size 11 and they fit me. My big toe is right at the top, but not jammed into the front end of the slipper. They are comfortable.
