Perfect out of the box for my bike...
I was upgrading a 2006 Cannondale F2000SL and as much as I would have liked floating rotors, I decided to try these based on reviews, cost and the type of riding I currently do.These 160mm rotors came with new mounting bolts and locks (the original rotors did not have locks). They were perfectly straight out of the box and bolted up easily. These were installed with NOS Shimano XTR 966 calipers and semi metallic pads. The pads bedded in easily and the rotors have been silent in good weather (the rotors were not shimmed for alignment, the calipers were). Unfortunately I can't offer any insight on wet performance as I haven't gotten the rotors wet at this point. The bike stops far better than it did with the old Deore XT 765 calipers and rotors. But, the old set up had resin pads. So, I can't say that the rotors made all the difference. But, I can say that semi metallic pads and these rotors, are a combination that works for me and this bicycle so far.

Shimano knows well.
So I have not put this one on because I found out shortly after, that a 203mm is what I really needed. After buying this same model of rotor but in 203mm, all I can say is that the 203 works wonderfully in the front paired up with some shimano ice tech resin pads. Easy to install and I believe.. comes with new torx screws? I'm not sure if this RT66 model comes with torx screws because I didn't install it, BUT, I also picked up the ice tech RT86 in 180mm for the rear and it came with new torx screws. Anyway, great rotor and I'll recommend it as a budget friendly, effective rotor.

Good Discs
These are nice discs. I have them on my gravel bike, and bought a set to put on my fat bike. The ones on that bike were VERY noisy, and I haven’t noticed that with these. They were easy to install, seem to be a good value, and so far have worked very well.

Good rotor but instructions are terrible
I purchased this rotor to replace a rotor that was damaged. It’s a good value for the money, as it is compatible with both resin and metal brake pads. In addition, the rotor bed in pretty quickly after taking it down some hills and riding the brake. Now it grips and stops quickly. Bolts also came pre-coated with thread locker. One minor annoyance is that the instructions in the box are next to useless. If you run an internet search you can easily find the instructions (I’d link it here but the Internet address may change over time). It’s pretty easy to install with instructions and I’d recommend watching Park Tool’s rotor installation video to know the order in which to tighten the bolts. Apparently there’s a proper order and didn’t know about it until I watched the video. Would buy again.

Easy install, works great
Installed with Shimano SLX M675B brake system, works great! If you've never installed one before (I hadn't), tighten the screws until the heads *just* touch the rotor then (using gloves as it's sharp metal) firmly twist the rotor clockwise. It will move just a bit to snug up against the screw shafts so when you jam on the brake later it won't rotate then. Then give the screws their final tightening. If that's not clear, search for the DM-GN0001-18-ENG.pdf guide and this rotor's installation instructions are on page 85.

Shimano Quality
If you have a bent, 6-bolt Shimano 160mm rotor, this is the part you need. Full stop. You can find aftermarket rotors at half the price, but tires and brake parts aren’t the place to save a buck at the expense of quality and reliability.

Shhhhhh...
My back rotor took to singing to me. Now I don't speak rotor so to me the singing was terrible. I tried to get it to shut up but rotors are a stubborn lot. So I got the Shimano SM-RT66 SLX. I took the new rotor on a ride last night and it apparently talked with my old rotor because it was very quiet. After it was bedded in it stops perfectly.
