Yes. The FTZ adapter is required for any of the Nikon Z mount bodies (Z6/Z7/Z50/Z5). Note that early firmware versions for this lens had to be updated using the tap in console, but that dates back over a year ago.

The information you need will never be published. Any answer you get is speculative. Most lenses do even Nikons and Canons will need calibration. As long as the lens meet a designated tolerance, it'll be sent through. The question becomes, is the user OCD and a spec geek that it has to be super perfect.
