its a fun battle game
The Game portion of this is short, you can beat it in 20-30 minutes. Now the positive, its a fun battle game, I don't have many Marvel Characters, but this game lets you play with all of the characters in Infinity. You use a "token" to unlock that person for a battle then they become locked again, but you earn a token nearly every other battle plus start with 20 of the things. Great way to try out new people and keep having fun. Each battle can be customized so you can fight on teams, or individual. Also, the level of difficulty can be adjusted per person. Example, I like Thor and Hulk together on one team and pit them against Hulk buster (set at Extreme) and Groot (set at medium). Set the match to 10 min and unlimited lives. Absolute blast!

One Drawback: Loading Characters Every Time
After playing the heck out of this, I have changed my review from 3 stars to 5 stars. My 8 year old son and I love it. It's almost like Super Smash Bros but with Marvel Comic characters.NEGATIVES:(1) LOADING CHARACTERS:When you turn off your console (in our case PS3) you have to put all your characters back on the base to unlock them... Every single time. This gets very redundant. I understand why - it's to protect Disney's profit, but it's at the expense of the player's gameplay experience. (Disney does this to protect their profit - they don't want you to be able to permanently unlock you don't own or plan to continue owning). And considering you can earn "unlock coins" pretty easily to be able to try new players, it seems like a waste of time to make players reload characters every time, since they can try out whomever they want when they want.(2) $6 STORY MODE:It is not very robust. You can beat it in 30 minutes. The cost perspective; it's $20 for this set and it includes a game ($6) and a character ($14) - so it's basically a $6 story mode for 30 minutes. However you can continually replay it. But there are no special cut scenes or anything which make you think they were trying to make a serious story mode.POSITIVES:(1) MAPS:The maps are interactive and destructible which ends up being pretty impressive. Unlocking the extra maps isn't very challenging, which is nice for us.(2) CHARACTER BALANCE:The characters are well balanced. We haven't been able to find that one over powered character that wins every time. It helps it have entertainment longevity.

Absolutely Love It :)
Me and my 5 year old son love it. The campaign is very short, about an hour. But it does have a good extra hour or two of stuff (levels and suit mods) that you can unlock with doing certain missions with certain characters. I love the variety it adds, like smash Bros but much better done with many more combos. In this game your characters levels are irrelivant, all the characters have preset moves. If a DI fan like me, you need this set.

An awesome change of pace from the usual Disney Infinity fare
This Play Set is not like any set that has been put out so far and that is a very good thing. It has a very basic story, but it is just an excuse to drop all of the Disney Infinity Marvel characters into an environment reminiscent of the old-school Capcom classic, Power Stone. Up to four people can take part in free-for-all battles using any Marvel character released so far which makes it the first Disney Infinity Play Set I can play with both of my daughters at the same time. The Versus mode allows you to customize the rule sets for your battles and, rather than each character gaining experience and leveling up individually, experience gained is banked and can be applied to any Marvel character in the main game. There is arguably enough content here to warrant a stand-alone release. An excellent purchase all around.

Beautiful Sculpt
Ive bought this and a few others from this game as decorative pieces rather than for the game. Cap is my favorite character in the MCU and I thought this was a great sculpt. I also liked that he's using the pose from the first Capt America movie poster.

Great game with hours of gameplay!
I've had it for over a month now since it's release and hadn't opened it. It wasn't until last weekend that my nephew insisted I open it so we could play. It was such a fun game and easy for the kids to pick up on. I would say it is similar to super smash bros. but with Marvel characters. It is a lot of fun assuming you have multiple Marvel infinity characters to play with. I would definitely recommend it for those who love Disney Infinity and Marvel.
