love them
these are just beautiful paints and the little fillable water pen brushes are so handy. I love them and use them a lot. They are particularly vibrant on black paper. Love them. Excellent value too.

Gorgeous paints
Loved the range of colours and the inclusion of two water brushes.I wasn’t too sure how much water to use so my two sample cards are somewhat uneven. However, the most delightful thing was that, on the black, some of the squares looked as though the pigment wouldn’t show but once dry they sparkle beautifully. Not cheap but lovely to use.

Cheap paints for cheap fun
Edited to increase the rating to 4 stars and add better swatches. In the last 2 photos you can see all the colours swatched on cold-pressed watercolour paper. The bottom row is a comparison to other cheap metallic paints from China. After swatching properly and playing with the paints a bit more, I've decided I really like them and will enjoy using them. I would give 5 stars if the pans were properly filled and didn't collapse down to not much at all.I ordered the palette of 36 paints for the grand total of £14.39, which seemed like a bargain to me. I've been buying handmade watercolours from a well known craft site and whilst they are absolutely beautiful, they're also very pricey. So this set, with 36 different shades, 1 large fold out palette, 2 water brushes, 1 paint brush, 1 pencil, 2 swatch cards, a velvet bag and a storage box for less than £15, appealed to me.First things first, with these generic types of palettes, usually made in the Far East, you are not going to receive artist quality paints. You should pretty much always expect the pans to be filled haphazardly, sometimes they will have cracks or you find large bubbles of air in the pans. Essentially, this is not the palette for you if you intend to use it for anything other than casual, fun use. This is why it cost me only £14.39.Initial impressions upon receiving the palette were good - (first photo) the box was sealed and surprisingly good quality with a magnetic flap for closure. Unfortunately, the box I received had sustained some damage which goes through the lid. The velvet bag is better than expected too, decent quality and I don't think it will fall apart easily. Time will tell! The second photo shows the paints with a drop of water added (I forgot to take a snap before I dived right in!). You can see the shades have a nice variety - I actually had no idea what to expect shade wise, the marketing photos are so manipulated. You can also see the pans have varying fill levels, but generally appear decently packed.Third photo displays some of the accessories included and what the paints look like after being used. You can see sometimes just adding a drop of water collapses the top layer and you discover the pan is barely filled. This is obviously highly disappointing - but again, you should expect it with these palettes. They're so much cheaper for a reason. Finally, we have the swatches which I did using the cards included. They aren't swatch cards IMO. They are thin, barely textured, cheap rubbish. I used them as a test and to quickly get up swatches of the shades for other interested buyers. The paints applied reasonably well, they are semi-pigmented and most have a decent sheen. For me, these paints are great to play around with, the sheerer pigment means they tend to be a little more forgiving for a beginner. My overall thoughts are that this is a great purchase for £15 or less. I would not pay much more than that. I hope this review helps others make their minds up.

Good for the price
This is a good set with a lot of convenience colours which will be good for children to paint or more experienced artists for making preparatory sketches. If you are a beginner who wants seriously to learn Watercolours you will need more experienced artists help to sort your colours and assign them to classical names. Pans do need to be worked (scrubbed) when starting using new set but after top (protective) layer is removed colours will come to their full strength. There is no pigment or lightfastness infoRmation but surely colours should stay vibrant in your sketchbook or journal. Comes with set of brushes and creamy watercolour sheets to kick you off. I haven’t used them as I prefer my own brushes and white paper. All in all good fun set with unusual bright colours in metal tin which can be reused if you will decide to upgrade gradually.

Great craft paint product
I received these today and just for a product review I absolutely love them. I have started 2 cards today … 1 for next Xmas and a birthday card (neither finished waiting for them to dry) but I am well impressed with the quality and metallic sheen so far. Would defo recommend.

Very pretty colours
This arrived in time and I wanted the metallic colours for some cards for friends. Most of the colours are nice and you can see the sparkly effect. Yes they are not that big, but if you compare with the price of watercolours, they are great for what you pay for them.

Nice colours with a metallic sheen
I like these, one did crumble a little but to be fair I just used some extra water and mixed it in the pan and its fine. The colours are nice, depends how deep you want colour to be, so I was happy that I could use a light coating as I just needed a light topping on the painting I was doing.Great wee case, easy to carry around if your so inclined and the wee brushes are handy too as can put water in them.
