It's easy to read
I got this for my mom and she is a huge fan. It isn't really something that I have found need for at this point in my life, but my mom (and aunts, now that she's lending it to them) are RAVING about it. It's easy to read, accessible, compelling, and full of really helpful information. Her favorite part, she says, is how it takes something that seems unattainable without expensive surgery (looking younger) and makes it something that's under your control. So much of everything starts in your gut nowadays and it's really interesting to see this shift into a more holistic approach to health have an impact on something so many people act like is silly. Younger skin is NOT silly. I for one appreciate my younger face and will cling til it until I can't. And I am happy that I'll have this book for when I need it.

Eat Mindfully
This is one of the best-written, most interesting diet books I've read. I found myself excited to learn more about the science of glowing skin, and was SO pleased to see a detailed meal plan at the end of the book. The recipes look delicious, and after having tried one already (the Chia Porridge) I am very curious to see how the next few taste. It's definitely hard to stick to the 28 day diet plan completely, but it seems like following her general rules of cutting out sugar, gluten, and alcohol will give me the results I'm hoping for. But arguably the most important lesson I took away from this book was the rule of Eating Mindfully. Essentially-- you should eat until you're about 70% full, and should eat slowly so as to enjoy more and let your body start to feel full. If you eat too quickly, you'll actually fill up without recognizing. All in all, very interesting read.

Younger Skin Starts in this Book
This is a comprehensive, holistic, book which considers every aspect of a healthy diet in order to promote outer and inner health. THe author, Nigma Talib, hasn't just studied these things, but has been practicing and experimenting with many successful clients, and this really come through in the book. Talib is very concerned with not just improving one aspect of health, but with creating a total body environment where everything is healthy, and working to benefit the other parts of the system. Unlike some other authors, Talib is also very nice. She puts a lot of emphasis on being healthy, but also allows for a not perfect lifestyle (she calls it 80-20; 80% of the time eat well and you're fine) without feeling guilty. She puts a lot of importance on not being stressed out, and abstaining from the 'big 4' alcohol, gluten, dairy, and sugar. I feel a lot better, and look better too, after just a couple weeks of this program. Give it a try!

If you're looking for a book to help you identify problem areas and your daily routine that contributes them this would be a goo
I found this book to be interesting especially in comparison to other books that deal with gut health. Lake many other authors Dr. Nigma Talib tries to focus her energies on helping patients get rid of their illness rather than just trying to mitigate the symptoms. In this book, she ties how gut health can affect skin and signs of aging. She begins by providing a checklist of issues, symptoms, and also your dietary routine. From here, the book helps you analyze your problem areas and how to attack them by changing your wine, gluten, dairy and sugar intake. If you're looking for a book to help you identify problem areas and your daily routine that contributes them this would be a good book for you.

Eat to Younger Skin
This book gave me a real insight about what you put into your mouth can affect the way your skin ages. I have been applying things on my face and skin hoping to get rid of them, like age spots. It goes into a lot of detail regarding hormones and the importance of keeping things balanced to decrease them. It describes what you can be eating to balance those hormones out and slow down the process. The 4-week program for younger looking skin is complete, with easy to follow recipes. Who knew that inflammation in your stomach could make your skin age. Following this not only will your skin be looking younger you have a healthy life style.

Good book but very repetitive
Great book but a little repetitive and only really highlights what the healthy person already knows. I thought it would be more scientific based

Lifestyle change to better your skin.
I just to get compliments at least once a day about my skin. This past year, I was lucky to get one every couple of months. I picked up this book to see what I have been doing wrong. I was enthralled with this book from the first paragraph. I mean, Dr. Talib asks the readers about their poops. It gets real, really quick guys. And I think that's one of the things I like the most about this book is the writing. The writing is so effortless and even though we are talking about science, the language is comfortable, like talking to a family friend.Dr. Talib gives the reader so much information, but it is clear and concise. She does specify that she wishes the reader to read the book in its entirety before beginning the regimen and I think that is wise. You must learn about your body before you can try to change it. Dr. Talib cover the effects of different foods, bowel movements, stress levels, diet, makeup tips, skin layers, overall skin health and more. There are even pages upon pages of recipes at the end that help your cause. Allot yourself a full 12 weeks or longer to see results. We are talking about a lifetime change here. I'll make sure to edit my review once I finish the program.
