Topped off the room beautifully
Well when I first saw this product I thought this cheesy crap is not going to do but it was cheap, it was easy and it looks pretty damned good. We are very happy that we went ahead with this product! I waited a month before submitting the review because I wanted to be sure but it actually is a dream. I know the rules say to start in the center and work your way out from alll sides but we did not even do that we started in a corner. And just glued one up next to each other and it worked. This is a very old house, nothing is square and even like it should be but it worked even where we had to trim. Made it fit the best we could and caulked the places that refused to fit together perfectly because of the old ceiling. The old ceiling btw, was subflooring planking so there were tiny gaps everywhere. I would use this product for another project in a second, in fact going to do the bedroom next. Great buy!

Updated to 4 stars because I am getting compliments from everyone on the ceiling.
Update: The ceiling is growing on me and this was a good economical way to fix the ceiling. We had a badly damaged ceiling when we removed a closet during our bedroom remodel. I didn't want to lose inches by lathing out to install a new ceiling over the existing one. These Styrofoam tiles came up as an alternative. Yes the installation was easy and yes, this was a fairly cheap way to cover the ceiling. Did I sacrifice quality for money, yes. We will see if this grows on me or not. P.S.- He did use liquid nails for the adhesive.

paper-thin trash
The "gaps" between boards are extremely shallow, there must be some funny lighting work going on in the pictures, they actually look like plain squares in any but perfect lighting. They're styrofoam, which I grasped before I bought, but surface texture is EXTREMELY OBVIOUSLY styrofoam, there's no way these are going to look okay on my ceiling. They are so thin and soft, bradnails from a manual spring stapler/nailer go right through, so you have to find a way to hold these, flat, above your head for at least several minutes to get the suggested adhesive to stick at all, and in spite of suggestions that it works over popcorn, I CANNOT get these to stick to popcorn without at least staple-gunning them up, which the shiny surface texture will certainly show not only the holes, but even the imprint of the staple crossbar. A significant number of the total order also arrived damaged due to poor packing or prior roguh handling.I get that I'm an idiot for not trying a small pack before committing to these, but I'm still exceedingly annoyed at the hundreds of dollars I just wasted.

Great solution for ugly low ceilings
The thin foam panels were the perfect solution to wonky low ceilings in a 200sf rental. Easy to paint and quick to install, they made the ceilings look fancy and expensive instead of wavy and badly patched. We placed each panel at right angles to the adjacent one and the bead board look was just what we were going for.

These are okay.
They look okay, better than a messed up popcorn ceiling. However I’ve yet to find a glue that will keep them up. Clear lock tight glue is failing after 2 months.

Easy application
Quickly applied to bathroom ceiling, beautiful! Advice: Buy a small pail of loctite and use a plastic spackle knife to apply. Much easier & quicker than applying with gun. Just ordered more for adjacent bedroom ceiling.

It's just ok.
This looks exactly like styrofoam. Kind of a pain to install as it was recommended to get some sort of adhesive. So you apply the glue to the piece and climb the ladder to install and it's covering a ceiling so multiple times. Might be good for a garage or rv or something like that, but it definitely looks cheap. The price is fair so I guess you get what you pay for.

It's just Styrofoam !!!!
So, this really is just thin Styrofoam squares. I am not sure why they cost so much... or who had the idea to put packing material on a ceiling. BUT..... my wife ordered and I put them up in the bathroom.... and they dont look bad. They were super easy to work with. Just score them a little and they snap apart very cleanly. The Locktight spray adhesive did not stick as well as I had hoped, so had to use some liquid nails in places. The picture shows before I used the liquid nails, and you can kinda see how some tiles didnt stick very well with just the Locktight. Anyway, it will always bother me that I have Styrofoam squares on my ceiling... so I took off a star. But nobody else will know that its Styrofoam ... and it took no time to install. So Im calling it a winner.
