Damn Near Kilt 'Em Men's Stowaway Utility Kilt

A Simple, Useable, Sturdy Kilt to Endure Anything You Can Throw At It.
MOST IMPORTANT BIT - I took the sizing advice to heart and measured myself at 78cm (~31in) in the waist. Bought the "Small" size (33"-34") because while one can always wear a belt to make bigger things fit, it doesn't work that way with things that are too small. I suggest you do the same so you're not stuck sending things back to get a proper fit. As it stands, this one fits wonderfully. There are lots of great things about this kilt. There are quite a few pockets to stuff items in, though the non-buttoning ones are a bit small to be useful. The material is sturdy, the pleats are attractive, and several metal rings adorn the waistline so you can hang various things off them.Like attention? Dress up even slightly (matching hose and a button-up long-sleeve shirt are usually all it takes) and suddenly everyone will be looking at you. Those bold enough to approach will inevitably have questions and comments for you - "What do you wear underneath it?" "Are you Scottish?" "Finally, a guy man enough to wear a skirt!" and such. I actually have a reasonable excuse for wearing kilts, as I do play the Bagpipes, but your mileage will vary. If you see this as a downside, don't get a kilt at all.The only disappointing part of this kilt is that it buttons together. The simplicity of snap buttons is nice, but it lacks any sort of adjustability as a result. This isn't a dealbreaker by any means, but I much prefer kilts that come together with belts and buckles which allow fine adjustments to be made to different areas of the waistline. I knew this when I purchased it, so I cannot fault this kilt for its design.I bought this as a "beater" kilt for hiking, lounging, and crazy nights at the pub. This thing tirelessly endures bitter cold and snow (regularly below 0C where I live) and is easy to clean if it gets messy. I couldn't ask for more.EDIT: After washing a few times in cold water/drying on cool settings, the kilt shrunk, but only slightly. Much appreciated too, since it basically "tightened up the screws" on the fit for my skinny body. You'll definitely want to iron the pleats back to an attractive state after washing though - your sister's/girlfriend's/mom's/your own hair straightening iron does a surprisingly good job returning the pleats to their original form.Still loving it.

Wear it with true Scottish belligerence.
Fabric is extremely sturdy, almost canvas. Very comfortable. Sizing was spot on when you follow the directions carefully. Loads of pockets. I really like the pants type pockets, which are best for a pocket knife or wallet. The only improvement I would make is some sort of mechanical belt closure. A belt holds it on fine but the snaps are a bit weak and it is hard to keep on long enough to get your belt on, something which my wife appreciates, but the belt is definitely a necessity. I bought this for a wedding and like it so much that I keep finding excuses to wear it. No worries about durability for sure.

Great Value and a Bargain
I am very pleased with the fit, functionality, look, and construction of my DNKE Stowaway Kilt.I based my size on a kilt I picked up at a convention a while back and was not disappointed. The guide DKNE gives is spot on. I have not washed the kilt yet, but I don't expect it to shrink too much if hung to dry.Having "real" slash and back pockets is a godsend. My other kilt only has two side "pouches", which the Stowaway includes, and there are times I don't want a massive amount of stuff jangling around in them. I use the accessory loops on the belt loops more than anticipated, too.The kilt "hangs" well. I don't know of a better, or more correct, way to articulate this. It looks good, even when I'm less than courteous to it. The pleats continue to look nice after a tough day.Everything about the product seems well put together. I don't expect to have any trouble with the fabric, stitching, or other construction for a long time.

Need more room for groin and upper thighs
It fits great around the waist. However, if you actually try to use all the glorious pockets I find that 1-2 of the bottom right buttons will pop. Maybe I just have a thin waist and never skip leg day making for an abnormal size. I have ordered the small and will see if that gives me anymore thigh/pocket room without having too much waist slack. Otherwise, the material seems sturdy, the side cargo pockets can fit a lot and are really great. The trouser pockets with anything more than a receipt in them will probably start popping buttons and are barely useful. This also rules out doing the splits or even a hearty lunge unless you want a hearty plunge peep show. A little more room for the trouser pockets and groin/upper thigh would be nice. Even just an inside zipper in lieu of buttons, or move the right 4 buttons more left and add a zipper to the right.

Really well made product
I really loved the quality of the stitching and the fabric was nicely woven and heavy. The snap closure design provides a comfortable fit. The brown was much darker than expected and looked black in low (pub) light so I'm reordering in another colour. The pockets are well placed, however, the trouser style side pockets can be a little snug to get into if you have powerful thighs or a man-booty. My leatherman dug into my leg a bit when worn clipped onto my pocket where I normally keep it but with the D-rings I was able to clip it in a comfortable location that was still easily accessible. As always, a friendly reminder: don't run up stairs with a heavy sporran.

Awesome kilt
This is very well made. Fits perfect. There are D rings on every belt loop for clipping keys or accessories. The belt loops are plenty wide for a larger belt. I am wearing these to stay cool in the summer heat of Texas while working outside. If there was any wish for improvement, it would be deeper pockets in the front. The back and front lower pockets are great, but the main pockets on the sides are a little shallow. My hand just fits in and hits bottom.. I like about an inch more....
