Fat Shark FCC Certified 5G8 25mw 5.8GHz Transmitter FSV2461 Fatshark by Arris

I'm using one of these to transmit analog video from a solar powered camera located at the edge of my property. I get a crisp clear signal for my DVR from 100ft away using a fpv receiver and similar antenna (at around 5.9GHz). Not interfering with my (and others) WiFi is a huge advantage considering the transmitter is in my backyard. I wish I could use a more directional antenna, but the fixed antenna is part of the FCC certification requirement.

Transmitter works prefect just as I thought it would like the one I had previously. Great range and video quality.

Weak transmitter. This transmitter puts out less than 5mW, yes less than 5 not the 25 that description (which has yet to be changed) shows. I contacted Fatshark and they confirmed that it is under 5. Even in direct line of sight it will start cutting out about 200ft.

Purchase this product to upgrade my fpv system not impressed. One main feature I liked it was FCC certified and a fatshark product with voltage filter. I have been running some off-brand transmitters on my set ups for a little bit now and purchased a pair of fatshark dominators so I know it is not my other equipment that is causing issues on first hook up I was less than a foot away to test the video and it had a line through the picture repeatedly meaning that there was some type of interfere while the other setups I have had never had this issue in my house, and I know not to coiled the wires or place it near any other electronics that might admit interference and this setup was all plug-and-play no soldering needed so I swapped out my transmitters just to see what would happen because I also purchased a runcam owl and I had no issues again one the other transmitter. I will still give it a fair chance and take it to the field to do further testing but my first impression is not good. Might be returning this product.

You can obey the law I guess, but where is the fun in that when your video only goes like 20 feet before cutting out. FATSHARK makes a good 200mw version that is way better
