Are these hot water bottles a soft rubber?

It is not rubber. It is made of flexible pvc. There is a seam all around the perimeter that is a little rigid. I filled it with 180*F water and the seems held, but I'm worried they could bursting you put pressure on it... like you would if you laid on it. PVC is prone to soften and misshapen when heated. I'd feel safer with a rubber one or silicone one. It's flexible, but doesn't conform to your body completely. If you put it on the back of your neck, it has some rigidity and does not completely conform to the shape of your neck. Not really the best for a water bottle. With 180*F water in it, the outside was around 165.

There is no information given of BPA contents with this product. It is made of PVC which is NOT food grade or safe for drinking water and breaks down at high temperature. Rigid pvc, which is used for drain pipes, is BPA free. Flexible pvc has "plasticizers": Phthalates, which are used for flexibility in plastics; Dicarbonates are used in shaping PVC at lower temperatures; Phosphates are used to make a material flame retardant; Fatty acid esters are added to rubber and vinyl to improve flexibility.

Can you fill the hot water bottle with boiling hot water or with hot water from facet samply transparent hot water bottle

I fill it with boiling water from my electric kettle. Used often and love it. The kettle and the hot water bottle!

What kind of material is the water bottle made of? What's the maximum safe temperature of water that can be put in? Is it safe to put it in freezer?

I got this for my daughter, she gets cramps so badly, and I pour boiling water which works great on her,never used it for FRZR.
