Sony UBP-X800M2 HDR UHD Wi-Fi Blu-ray Disc Player (Renewed)

I have had the previous model of this disc player for a couple of years, and found it to handle any disc format you put in it. the upscaling works well. If you have standard discs to play, you may have to put a specific set of adjustments to tweek the image quality. This can be done in your display menu in your HDTV. The reason I upgraded to this newer model is because There was never a Dolby Vision firmware update as promised by Sony. I just ordered an LG 65" G14K OLED that will do anything you throw at it. My current 800 never got Dolby Vision so I replaced it with the 800M2 that has everything. The 700 model has everything as well, but the construction is crappy so I passed on it. This machine is solid, heavy, and much more stable. There is an 1100ES top of the line model but pricey and maybe a bit of an overkill. My ongoing only complaint is the lack of a front panel display in addition to the on screen. It is clean looking though. Great Multidisc player, solid build, reasonable price point, and timely delivery. I highly recommend this product, and this seller.

Took me hours to figure how to setup audio 5.1 surround theater on my​ Ray Optical cable. So don't mess with any of those settings, just go into the Sony's Tool. It had nothing to do with my xfinity box or sonos ray and surround one speakers. Back in Sonys audio set up, just make sure it's set up.Digital Audio Output - AutoDSD Output mode - AutoBD Secondary ​Audio - OffDTS Neo:6 - Off48 kHzDSEE​ HX - OffAudio DRC - OffDownmix - SurroundIn system setting, go to ​HDMI settings and make sure HDMI is on and Linked to TV Off is Valid.Just wish Sony's manual would of had this type of information.

Came double boxed in Sony packaging. Refurbished? Not sure. This thing is brand new. No evidence of refurbishing. Buy with confidence! I don’t buy a lot but this is a great buy!

Sony has provided essentially the same functionality that Oppo, Reavon and Magnetar disc players contain but at 25% of the price! Sony UBP-X800M2 is almost an exact duplicate of Reavon UBR-X110.I love how Sony UBP-X800M2 can play UHD-BD, BD, DVD-V, DVD-A, SACD, and CD disc formats using the HDMI2 output to my audiophile receiver/amplifier home theater for multi-channel sound and HDMI1 output to my large-screen UHD 4K monitor with HDR (including Dolby Vision if your television supports that format).At an affordable price!Thank you Sony for keeping physical disc media alive for another generation.

This BR player has All the features I was looking for, and had been searching for months..! Im happy with my purchase, and it’s in Excellent condition for refurbished. Thank you so much for this unit; I got a two year extended warranty on top if the 90 day warranty that came with the unit! Peace

This model had received good to great reviews in various AV magazines. I wanted the ability to use various format of UHD and this one had DolbyVision, HDR, HDR10. Also, it has 2 HDMI outputs allowing SACD audio path as well as UHD video. All-in-all, gave me the features I wanted without spending $500-1500 for the excellent rated players.

The visual is amazing on my Sony Bravia XR. Love it and will never change
