Great ice maker!
Got this to keep my small biz from home stocked with ice and it is great! Unboxed it, let it stand for 24 hours as instructed then set it up.Using a big water jug because I dont have it in a permanent spot yet for a water line is no issue. I also just use a low drain pan/bowl to collect drain water. It kicks out cubes every 22 minutes or in about 4 hours fills up the ice bin. Put ice in bags then those go into my small deep freezer to store until use.You do need to break up the thicker cubes at times, when it gets close to full the ice drops but hangs on top of pile and stops production on the shut off door. I use the scoop to break ice to get it to fill at max capacity. In about 24 hours it goes through the 5 gallon water jug and I get 6 FULL big bags of ice! Just keep an eye on drain pan so it won’t overflow and empty it at times.Makes plenty of ice to keep my coolers full as needed, ice bin holds 1 full bag so you do need to fill bags and freeze then if filling BIG coolers.A big $$$ and time saver for me I have ice on hand all the time now and don’t have to stop and buy 4-6 bags at the store anymore! I got an extended warranty too but no need yet, this is a nice ice making monster, keeps spitting it out!Size wise it is like a water cooler with the jug on top, not a table top machine. I will eventually run a water/drain line but for now its doing fine being set up freestanding. Glad I bought it.

Good machine for small commercial operation.
The size works well in a 15" wide by 30" high by 15" deep cabinet opening. Some additional plumbing parts (adapters, valve, hose clamps) may need to be purchased separately to allow for automatic fill and drain modes, and the accordian drain hose is kind of fragile and easily damaged when connecting to a drain hose adapter, but overall a good value for the money. The plastic front door has four 1/4" diameter plastic pins that extend out to the sides and which are held in place and slide up and down in side channels. If not careful when opening and closing the door (it is kind of tricky) one or more of the plastic door pins can break off, making the door unusable and non-repairable.

Using the bucket/jug inlet is tricky, but it works great once that's figured out.
I've had a few hiccups with this ice maker, but overall it works great, especially for the price. I've had it for about two weeks, now - with it running almost constantly. It will go through a 5 gallon jug a day if left to run all day and occasionally emptying the bin. This unit will most likely work best with a direct water connection and a viable drain, but with some tweaking, it works just fine using the spot for the jug on top (See the attatched photos). There needs to be a gap for the jug to work, or it creates a pocket of air in the line. When I messaged the seller, they recommended I get a gasket, but that didn't seem to be enough of a gap. The little brackets that I happened to have on hand lift it about 3/4 of an inch on an angle and it works perfectly.I had to get a table to raise it high enough for it to drain into something, which I decided to use another jug (why not recycle the water that was being used in it in the first place?). That required about 24" of lift, and it actually made scooping the ice out much easier for me.Something that isn't quite right on their specs advertisement is the capacity of the ice bin. It will hold about 10-15 pounds of ice, depending on the setting you have the cubes on. I'm assuming that they measured the weight with just water, since it is twice the weight by volume as ice. Or maybe not, either way if you're using it to bag up ice, get 10# bags.Overall, this is a nice little piece of equipment and I'd probably buy it again if I was in the market for another one.

Don't Do it!
Don't do it. Quality is very low. This made about 2 full units of ice for us and then the cooler went. It is really difficult to work with this seller.

Worked well for 2 weeks
I'm already returning this only after one month. It leaks, and I can't find where. I tried to contact support, but since this is an Amazon-supported item, the only option I had was to return it. It's a shame because it worked well; it made lots of ice and was a little noisy, but it worked well for me.

Making ice like a charm
Arrived earlier than expected, husband got hooked up quickly and is now working like a charm. Only complaint is it arrived with a dented in box and had a dent on the front of the stainless steel. But is working great at this time.

Worked better than expected!
Bought this for our church. It was a week before an event and our 20 yr. old ice maker died. This unit arrived quickly and was easy to install although I had to go to the local hardware to buy a dollar adapter to hook up the water to our valve. I built a dolly to put it on for easy access to the utilities. Turned it on the night before the event. When we arrived the next morning the bin was full and it had shut off properly. During the next few hours while setting up for the event this ice maker made enough ice to fill three 10/12 lb. reusable bags which came with ice maker. We've had it a month and have used it weekly with success. The timer is how the thickness of the ice is determined. Only suggestion I have is that an American write the manual for those sold in the USA

Worked great for about 2.5 years
I run a rehab clinic and used this machine for commercial use. It ran about 6-7 hours each day and lasted for about 2 and a half years. This is the second one that I have bought like this and same thing happened to the last one... it just stopped working. Tried to get a new pump to fix it, but they cost about the same as the machine itself, if you have someone fix it for you.I am going to buy one that I can get a warrant on this time. Hope his is helpful info for someone.
