Easy (but not obvious how) to install
No instructions came with the filters but a quick review of the hood install manual showed these just screw on either side (R/L) of the blower motor behind the two grill panels. We’ll see how they work but don’t think much can go wrong. Didn’t notice the fan being louder or noisier after adding the filters (it was good before as well).Overall these and the base vent hood unit seem like decent products and installed easily despite a very challenging location for external venting in my kitchen.

I dont think they do anything at all
The filters fit perfectly, but they dont seem to do much, if anything. The quality is what youd expect for something under $20, but its just a little basket with a few charcoal beads that sit there.To be honest, i dont know if they do anything at all, but I cant prove that they dont do anything so if you have $20 burning a hole in your digital paocket, and you stove hood doesnt vent to the outside.... well, what else are you gonna do 🤷♂️
