VAGCOM? Yes, this is and yes it works. Look no further.
Ordered for a family member who works on cars and motorcycles, mostly custom work. All info is from them.Used for diagnostics and ECU tuning/logging. The included drivers are helpful if you need them, but most Win7/8/10 PCs with internet will work for initial setup. No issues as long as you're connected to a USB2.0 (or higher) port on the PC directly (untested with USB-C to USB-A adapters, USB hubs of any kind, or MacOS, or Linux variants).Recommend for those who know and need.

Works great
I used this cable with kw1281test to pull the SKC from my Mk4 Jetta (need the code to program new in VCDS).Used the drivers built-in to Windows 11. Works great, no connectivity issues. Build quality is as expected, probably shouldn't abuse it too much.

Software could be corrupted.
Tried to download drivers onto my computer and was told that software needed administrative permission to load. My antivirus program stopped it from loading. I took it to another computer that I didn't worry if it got corrupted or not, I bypassed the antivirus, the message that came up in the little box had almost nothing but lot of question marks in it. Would not load. Tried to contact the seller. I've got no reply. I will be returning it.

Not for VW or Audi made after 2005
If you are trying to connect to a 2005 and up vw or Audi don’t bother. Only works with pre 2005 cars. The cable does technically work but if you want vcds for a newer car there is no way around paying the $200+ for the Ross tech cable and software.

If you do it right it works fine
Worked for me. I did use a 32bit windows 7 computer. The software situation is a bit tricky but the seller sends you a link to download. (Check your spam folder) cable works good. Used it to turn off the Immobilizer on my mk4 Jetta.

It works, find your own drivers tho.
Had to find generic drivers for it but after that it worked great, used it for my 2018 Moto guzzi v7iii with guzzidiag

I needed a specific interface cable for a Gen 3 Durango. I saw this one and it worked as needed for the software I was using.
