A good, healthy pea protein drink mix.
This pea protein drink mix is good for several reasons: the texture isn’t bad, even though some people say it’s chalky; I found that blending it fully, or using cold water or milk helps with the texture. Also, the flavor is pretty good on this one, as well. I’m trying to lose weight, so I’m going with a liquid diet, when I can, to support that goal, and this drink mix has really filling serving sizes, so I’m pleased with that. I found that putting in a sufficient amount of liquid really helps with the clumpiness, and the drink mixed smoothly, well enough.

Clean ingredients, low price, great flavor!
LOVE the flavor of this and I’ve tried a million different pea protein blends. This never causes trouble for my sensitive stomach and is the BEST tasting protein I’ve ever tried. I tend to stock up when it’s on sale (pretty frequent) but even the regular price is pretty low in comparison to some other vegan protein blends.

Great protein powder for someone who is avoiding soy
For as much as someone can "like" a protein supplement drink that is not disguised with strong chocolate flavor, this one works. I have eliminated soy from my diet (too much GMO), and pea protein seems to be one of the cleanest sources of replacement. I have only tried mixing it with water, and it settles pretty quickly to the bottom of the water, so I tend to minimize the water and slug it down. My roommate puts it into a smoothie with kale and other greens and had told me it does stick to the greens rather than sift to a thicker layer at the bottom.Be careful when opening the container and grabbing the measuring spoon provided. It is a very fine powder and will float or even puff out of the container with a strong movement or breath! The plain flavor is good - truly plain. Since I struggle with protein powder I got the Vanilla Toffee to help me consume it and the flavor is mild, but helps do the trick.

Strong bitter flavor & upset my gut.
I was excited to try this product as I trust Now Foods & Supplements & this Pea protein powder showed that it contains BCAA which I was looking for. I have used Pea protein powders before with no gut issues. BUT this powder (vanilla toffee) has an awful bitter taste & over powering taste! It also upset my gut. Just to say I’m disappointed and don’t have a way to use this product. I wonder if the other flavors are also bitter & strong & plain awful?

Give it a chance, and try it more than once. It takes a little getting used to.
I waited for a few days before leaving a review because it certainly wasn't what I expected. I have used Whey protein products for a while and have tried Soy as well. After a bit of research and all the positive reviews about Pea protein, I decided to take the leap. I bought the Vanilla Toffee, Unflavored and Dutch Chocolate. I've only used the Vanilla Toffee so far.My first experience was anything but pleasurable. I blended it with Almond Milk, mixed berries and spinach. It was Way too thick and chalky. The taste was awful, but I managed to choke it down. Tried another smoothy with Almond Milk, Mixed Berries, Pudding Mix and Spinach, blended in a blender I added water to get the consistence I was looking for. Taste was much better.I noticed many comments talked about the comment re: do not use for weight reduction. I compared the scoop to the scoop in a different weight reduction powder. The scoop in the weight reduction powder is smaller and will deliver about 1/2 the amount of protein and calories. I made another smoothie today and used the smaller scoop. It was much better. So my suggestion to those of you who wish to use this as a weight management tool is to use 1/2 a scoop of powder.

Reasonable value, but misses the mark on texture and taste
I tried this product to see if I was tolerant of the Pea protein powder by itself. I seem to be disgusting it well, with little issue. However, the powder doesn't seem to mix easily. It tends to lump up and remain gritty, no matter what medium I choose to mix it with, though HOt liquid will help. The taste is not bad, but does have a slight aftertaste, similar to a fake sweetener. It is okay by itself, but not so much with other things.I have not tried it with any fruit, thickener, or dairy product, only nut and oats milks. It could be very, if it was.

I Gotta Pea!
Me to my 16 year old athlete son, "here, try this it's pretty good."Him: What is it?Me: It's pea proteinHim: WHAT??!!!Me: it's pea protein. Try it!Him: Dad are you crazy?!! I'm not drinking ANYTHING made with pea! That's gross!! I'm not drinking that crap!Me (and I just had to say it): It's NOT crap, it's PEA!!As a user and experimenter of many different types of protein powders, I have to say, this one is unique. Like the other reviewer mentioned, this is indeed a lot like flour consistency out of the jug. It will get all over your hands and counter top just trying to get the scooper out. But that's where the negatives stop. The taste is very good, and it mixes well. Read the product description. It has everything you want in a good protein powder including non GMO ingredients and no milk and no soy.Mix this with a few packs of instant fat free/sugar free vanilla pudding and a cup or so of almond milk. Throw in some dark chocolate morsels and you have got one HECK of a healthy snack that tastes just like cookie dough.A few caveats:1) higher in sodium than usual protein powders2) take this fwiw, but just came across a research article that stated that extra protein is very healthy up to about age 40. People between 40-60 should avoid too much extra protein and those over 60 should increase protein consumption. Don't have a link so research on own.3) it contains a bit of xylitol so if your stomach is sensitive to that additive, be careful. It's not that much, but could irritate sensitive people. The good news is that pea protein is most likely way healthier than whey (cow) and DEFINITELY healthier than soyBy the way, my son drank it and actually loved it!
