Made in USA!
Let me start of by saying that this specialty tool is a great value. A near identical yet lesser equivalent is sold by snap on under the blue point label part number YA188G for $69.70.I bought this along with usa made craftsman harmonic balancer puller for a total of $51 before discounts. This setup provides more flexibility than the one size does most puller &installer sets that some offer. If this setup is well lubricated and properly operated than you should have minimal issues.User error is a big factor!

Avoid this unit. Already broke it. Poor design.
This unit has a design flaw that makes it very easy to break. The manufacure did send me a new part but it has the same flaw. The end is threaded on the inside and all the way down on the outside. This makes the metal very thin at the end and the main shaft will break with little force applied. The outer threads should have stopped above where the inner threads start. As a side note, this unit will not work if your balancer has a bolt hole smaller than the crankshaft. This is the case on a 2.7 Chrysler. The hole must be .875 or larger to use this unit, if it doesn't break first.

Worked until I side loaded it...
Purchased in 2012 so maybe the newer ones use tougher steel but I wouldn't bank on it. I have broken the 1/2 and the 7/16 adapters when installing *tight* balancers that require a lot of force. I think it is side loading that did it. the metal is weak and low quality. Good stuff would bend, not break.... lesson learned! I will recreate the adapter by welding the threads from two grade 8 bolts together.

Worked for a Ford 3.0l pushrod motor
It worked great for a 2003 Ford 3.0l pushrod motor. I greased the area first before attempting to reinstall the harmonic balancer, went in nice and smooth. When I took the tool off I noticed the thrust bearing would not spin and wondered if I had installed the bearing the wrong way, there are two different sides to the bearing. I called the manufacturer and they are sending me a new one for free.
