I had to get a backdrop that is big enough to cover my bathroom behind me in zoom meetings. This product worked for me. I was a professional photographer in my previous life and had owned many of this type of steel coil popup backgrounds. I guess I've been out of the business for many years. Compared to what I had paid for many years ago, I was surprised by the quality of the material (felt like) and the thickness of the material.Yes, the steel coil on this product is much stiffer compared to similar product from 10 years ago. It will take time for someone with no experience to collapse. For me, I stand at a corner, with the corner tuck to my stomach. Each hand griping a side wall and bringing it up (stomach is holding the corner down ish). Also, allowing room at the bottom for the rest of the backdrop to fold in. Hope this help to those that are having issues folding it.

First off it is HUGE! Expect to get a stand or pole that is just as tall (for my purposes, I placed it sideways). It looks great on camera (I'm an actor and just used it for Zoom callback for a TV series). The only drawback is there are NO INSTRUCTIONS included re how to fold it back down for storage. I had to come back to this Amazon page and watch the video (I didn't check Kate's website for instructions). After about 20 minutes I was able to figure it out and store it back in its carrying case. It truly feels like you are about to break it in half when folding it away. We shall see how long the metal hoops last. FYI, I used the EMART 8.5FT Photography Green Screen Background Reflector Disc Holder Clip with Light Stand to hold up the screen. Works great and available on Amazon.

I'll be using this for the first time on a shoot next week, but in testing it out it looks to be a great improvement over the traditional canvas type backdrops I have. The mesh like material hangs wrinkle-free, which is awesome. Most times I've got the subject at least a 2 or 3 feet away from my backdrop, but in some situations the space is tight so need to have them closer. This should alleviate any wrinkled backdrop in the background. Drop seems to be well-made, and the carrying case that came with it is the best one I've ever had - well done Kate!

a little disappointed with the size , but i should have use a measuring tape before buying, wrinkle free once opened and easy to fold back in once you learn how to do it once haha, colors are accurate to pictures

I was leery about buying this brand but I had been burned by backdropoutlet.com and bought this due to an emergency. It is durable and the colors are vibrant, but my only issue is that it’s nearly impossible to fold back up into the carrying case. Three of us watched all the tutorial videos and could not figure it out so I shoved it unfolded into the back of my car and it now lives, unfolded, in my attic. 5 stars as far as value and durability go, but one star deducted for ease of use/difficult to fold.

I have had this product for a year and have used it modestly. I purchased it based on a recommendation because I wanted a great product and was willing to invest. After a year, the framing broke, tore the fabric, and has rendered the backdrop 1) completely unfoldable 2) wrinkled and out of its frame, clearly puckering throughout. This is disappointing after I invested in what was supposed to be a lasting product and is now unusable.
